Fan Zhongyan's Yueyang Tower story Fan Zhongyan was born in 989 AD and died in 1052 ad. Xiwen is a native of Wu County in Suzhou. He is a famous politician and writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. After his death, he was posthumously named "Wenzheng" and "fan wenzhenggong" in the world. Wu county is today's Suzhou. He was born in poverty, and his father fan Yong was the Secretary of Jiedu. He was just two years old when his father fan Yong died. When he was young, he used to live in a temple to study. He often didn't have enough to eat. He still studied hard day and night. He didn't take off his clothes and sleep for five years. After Zhongjin, he wrote to the emperor many times and put forward many suggestions to get rid of the bad government.
