Idioms and allusions
In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was a monk named zhidaolin in Baima Temple of Jiankang. The common surname of zhidaolin was Guan. After he became a monk, his surname was changed to Zhi and his name was dun. Daolin was his word. Zhidaolin is a native of Chenliu (now Southeast of Kaifeng City, Henan Province), and it is also said that he is a native of Linwu (now Nanlin County, Henan Province). Deeply influenced by Lao and Zhuang. Chuang Tzu is the representative work of Zhuang Zhou, a famous thinker and representative of Taoism in the Warring States period. It not only inherits the tradition of Lao Tzu's Taoist cultural thought, but also expounds his own philosophical thought which is different from other schools of thought, and contains profound ideological connotation. Both Xiang Xiu and Guo Xiang, famous writers in Jin Dynasty, annotated Zhuangzi, which was widely spread in society. Later, when people talked about Zhuangzi, they all quoted the annotations of Xiang Xiu and Guo Xiang. Xiaoyaoyou is the first one in Zhuangzi, and it has always been the focus of discussion among celebrities and scholars. At that time, many well-known scholars studied the truth contained in this article, but they did not go beyond Guo Xiang's and Xiang Xiu's opinions. once, Zhi Daolin was chatting with some social celebrities in Baima temple in Jiankang. When they talked about "xiaoyaoyou" in Zhuangzi, Zhi Daolin just sat aside and listened to others' opinions, but he didn't say a word. Later, he saw that all the talks were from Guo Xiang's and Xiang Xiu's annotation, and expressed his own opinions and experience on "xiaoyaoyou". Zhi Daolin's xiaoyaoyi is aimed at Guo Xiang In order to aim at Guo and Xiang, belittle metaphysics and elevate Buddhism. Zhi Daolin, with his unique ideas, re annotated and endowed it with new meaning. Zhi Daolin's annotation of xiaoyaoyou goes far beyond Guo Xiang's and Xiang Xiu's explanation, and sets up a new opinion. People are surprised when they hear it, but when they think about it, they think it's quite new and interesting. Therefore, later people used zhidaolin's view to explain xiaoyaoyou. the idiom "Biao Xin Li Yi" is composed of "Biao Xin" and "Li Yi".
