Idiom story

Mussel is a kind of shellfish living in rivers, lakes and marshes. The shell structure is composed of three layers: outer layer, middle layer and inner layer: the outermost layer is cuticle, and the middle layer is prism; the innermost layer is very bright, and it is made of many small flakes formed by cutin and calcareous matter, which is called nacre. These parts of the shell are formed by the fluid secreted by the epithelial cells of the mantle tightly attached to the inner layer of the shell. Pearl will be formed when the mantle of mussel is stimulated by the invasion of foreign bodies (sand, parasites) or the outer epidermis of the mantle is stimulated by pathology. as far as the process is concerned, the origin of pearls is nothing more than the pain of mussels themselves. It is precisely because of the pain that valuable pearls come into being. Therefore, this idiom enlightens us: pain makes people sublimate and surpass, any misfortune, failure and loss may become our favorable factors; to face the pain of life correctly, only in this way can we constantly improve ourselves and finally achieve our own goal.
