Half the weight is a comedy film CO produced by Jiahe film (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. and Xu's Film Co., Ltd. in 1976. It is composed, directed and performed by Xu Guanwen and co stars with Xu Guanjie, Xu Guanying, Zhao Yazhi and Wu Yaohan.

This film is mainly about a series of small sesame cases, including tracking extramarital affairs, debt collection, dealing with troublemakers, catching thieves and so on. The whole process is humorous and funny. Finally, the guy smashes the robbery group and is promoted to the partner of the detective agency.

"Half weight eight Liang" was released in Hong Kong, China on December 16, 1976. The film, together with "Fa Qian Han" and "new half weight eight Liang", is called "half weight eight Liang" trilogy.

Movie plot

Li Guojie (Xu Guanjie) has been practicing martial arts since childhood. He is not willing to work on the assembly line of a soda factory, so he resigns to be a private detective. Huang ruosi (Xu Guanwen), the president of the omnipotent private detective agency, is mean, ungrateful and thinks highly of himself, but he often takes over some petty cases. He is not interested in Li Guojie's arrival. In the middle of the road, the president mistakenly thought that his neighbor had stolen his wallet, so he fought with him. Later, he found that it was a misunderstanding. Neighbors report to the police, and the president and Li Guojie run for their lives. In hiding, the president thinks Li Guojie is quick, so he agrees to come to work. The theater owner was robbed by a strongman and asked the president for help. When the president and Li Guojie come to the theater, they find that it is Jian Shu and his gang who rob. They make a living by robbing. They once fought with Li Guojie, but now they meet in a narrow way. The president fought with them for wisdom and courage, and worked with Li Guojie to subdue them. They were sent to the police station and were commended. After this adventure, the president also changed his attitude towards his subordinates. The detective agency has been like a family ever since.
