Zhu Ying
Zhu Ying (November 2, 1971 - May 8, 1999), Han nationality, Beijinger, member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the Department of industrial art engineering of Tianjin Institute of light industry (Tianjin University of science and Technology) in July 1992. Victims of the May 8 incident.
In January 1994, he was transferred to the advertising department of Guangming Daily as an artist. His works won the "Kunlun Cup" excellent award of Beijing Advertising Association. He married Xu Xinghu in 1998, and soon after marriage, he went to work with Xu Xinghu in Belgrade.
In the early morning of May 8, 1999, Beijing time, he was unfortunately hit by shrapnel in the missile attack of the US led NATO on the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and died at the age of 28.

Life of the characters
Zhu Ying was born on November 2, 1971. She spent her childhood and school days with her parents in Taigu, Shanxi Province. She has been influenced by good family education and social environment since childhood. When she was in primary school and junior high school, she studied hard, required herself to be strict, loved work, respected teachers, united with classmates, and was rated as "three good students" and excellent young pioneers many times.

Many comrades worried about her, but she went there with great courage. After arriving in Yugoslavia, she took the initiative to cooperate with Xu Xinghu to carry out work, driving, delivering manuscripts, shopping, refueling, and did a lot of work. On March 24, after NATO, led by the United States, fiercely launched an air strike against Yugoslavia, the organization considered arranging her to return to China for the sake of security, but she resolutely stayed and continued to work. In order to expose NATO's crimes to domestic readers, she and her husband Xu Xinghu are not afraid of sacrifice, work selflessly, risk their lives, and go to the scene of the bombing day and night for many times.
