Cao Weicheng is from Fuquan. Born in 1683 in the 22nd year of Kangxi, he won the first place in the imperial examination of military examination in the 42nd year of Kangxi. At the age of 20, he became the earliest and only champion in Guizhou history.

Cao Weicheng, the number one Wu scholar in Guizhou, was born in Fuquan. Born in 1683 in the 22nd year of Kangxi, he won the first place in the palace examination of kuweike in 1703. At the age of 20, he became the earliest and only number one scholar in Guizhou history. He was called "three number one scholar and one flower Explorer" in Guizhou in Qing Dynasty, together with Zhao yijiong from Qingyan, Xia Tonghe from Majiang and Yang Zhaolin from Zunyi. He is the author of "the journey to Tibet" and so on. After he left office, he settled in Guiyang. Cao Weicheng is a famous scholar. His father, Cao Yuansu, was a kuchou Kewu Jinshi in 1673. His son, Cao Shi, was a Kewu Jinshi in 1724. After leaving office, he left Beijing and returned to Guiyang. He lived with Cao Weicheng in the area of today's Cao Zhuangyuan street, which is in the south of Guiyang. The three generations of Cao's ancestors and grandchildren are all Wu Jinshi, among them there are Wu Zhuangyuan, who is regarded as the most famous martial arts family in Guizhou history.
