Chao Duanyan (1035-1095), whose name is Mei Shu, was born in Qingfeng, Chaozhou (now Puyang, Henan Province). He is the elder brother of Chao Duanyou and a writer of the Northern Song Dynasty. In the fourth year of emperor Renzong's Jiayou reign (1059), he joined Su Shi in the Jinshi and made friends with him.
Life of the characters
Chao Duanyan (1035-1095), whose name is Mei Shu, was born in Puyang, Henan Province. In the second year of Jiayou reign (1057), he joined Su Shi in Jinshi. Chao Duanyan had long been worshipped by Ouyang Xiu. Here, he took the will of ougong and went to Su Shi's door to ask for help. Su Shi said in sending Chao Meishu Duanyan to the palace:
I was twenty years old and had no friends. At that time, there was a son from all over the world. When the king comes to knock on the door, if he asks for something, he is ill and the crane is clear. Drunk Weng sent me to travel from my son. Weng stepped back and walked through keqiu. He still wanted to release his son. Collection of Su Shi's Poems
Shenzong Xining four years (1071), Kaifeng power to push the official, moved two Zhejiang Road. In the sixth year, Chao Duanyan appointed the prison on Huainan East Road. In the first month of the tenth year of Xining (1077), Chao Duanyan was "chased two officials" and punished Runzhou. At this time, Su Shi, who knew Xuzhou, sent a poem to comfort him: "it was his intention to send his son to the poor heaven, and the mountains and waters in Wuzhong should be clear."
In the first year of zhezongyuanyou's reign (1086), he took doctor sixun as an envoy to celebrate the first day of Liao Dynasty, and later served as an envoy to Jianghuai, Jingzhe and other provinces. At the beginning of Shaosheng's reign, he was deposed to know Shanzhou. He died two years ago.
