Daimi
Dai mi (March 4, 1464-1506), a native of Yanqian Village (now Jiangxi Province), Wuyuan County, was named Baozhi and Chongfeng. Ming Dynasty historical figures, officials to Guanglu Shaoqing. His Yi Zhou Shan Chang Zhi was selected as the "economic record of famous officials" in the History Department of Si Ku Quan Shu
Ming Hongzhi nine years (1496) Jinshi, change Shu Ji Shi, grant military branch to the matter, Guanglu Shaoqing. For a long time, transferred to Nanjing Huke. Emperor Wuzong ascended the throne, eunuch Liu Jin and other tyrannical dictatorship. In the first year of Zhengde (1506), Liu Jin chased Liu Jian and Xie Qian, which aroused the common indignation of scholars. Dai MI, together with AI Hong and Bo Yanhui, the imperial censor of geishi, either signed their names alone or jointly. Shangshu asked to keep Liu and Xie. In the end, the emperor arrested all the 21 people, 30 for each. Dai Mi died under the staff, Jiang Qin was killed three times by the staff, and died in prison three days later. His works include fengwenji, zhuzishiji, etc.
In the 13th year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1500), Dai Mi proposed to the imperial court that Zhu Zi was recognized as a great Confucian after Confucius since the song and Yuan Dynasties. In the second year of Jingtai, the descendants of Zhu Zi in Jian'an, Fujian Province began to inherit the five classics doctor of the Imperial Academy. In Wuyuan, Huizhou, the ancestral home of Zhu Zi, the tombs of his relatives are still well preserved, but the descendants of Zhu Zi in Wuyuan, Wengong que, can not enjoy this kind of treatment. Dai Mi quoted scriptures and repeatedly told the court that the descendants of Zhu's ancestral temple in Wuyuan should be worshipped according to Jian'an, and his descendants were ordered to enjoy the treatment of "conferring a hereditary official to be worshipped" and "in this way, they would be rewarded with the benefits of Confucianism, and all the descendants of Zhu's were gracious, which turned into vulgar beauty and spread to the boundless land".
In the second year of Jiajing (1523), the imperial court finally agreed that the descendants of Zhuzi in Wuyuan also inherited the five classics doctor of Hanlin Academy. From then on to the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were 15 descendants of Zhuzi in Wuyuan. Under the praise of the imperial court, Zhu Zixue became more prosperous in the Wengong palace of Wuyuan.
In the middle of Ming Dynasty, the government began to be corrupt. After Xiaozong ascended the throne, he carried out the new policy and asked civil and military officials to give advice. In response to the imperial edict, Dai Mi wrote some opinions, such as "treating the root cause", "examining the essentials of treatment", "following the treatment code", "preparing the treatment method", "promoting the treatment of the advantages" and "curing the disadvantages". In his "radical cure", he pointed out: "the monarch is the foundation of the world, and the world can be ruled after he is upright. There is no one who is not upright but the world is autonomous, so the radical cure is also important." He also said that it was not difficult to ask for opinions, but to adopt correct opinions. In his "trial and rule", he proposed that the incumbent ministers should be appointed on the basis of merit and be given clear rewards and punishments. When it comes to the affairs of the world, if the rewards and punishments are clear, nothing can be done; if the rewards and punishments are not clear, nothing can be done. Officials should be streamlined. There are one-third more officers in the Ministry of war, two-thirds more officers in the Ministry of household and the Ministry of industry, and twice as many as in the imperial censor. Therefore, the number of officials should be reduced. He emphasized in "promoting governance and benefit" that "the way of governance is to benefit the people first". However, some officials have been promoted too quickly. For example, the chief and Deputy envoys have been promoted in less than one or two years, and some have not been appointed. The officials participating in politics and Deputy envoys have been promoted in less than three or four years. What are the advantages of traveling thousands of miles, frequent promotion and exchange, and wasting money? Dai Mi suggested that prefects and prefectures must serve for seven or eight years, and prefectures and counties must serve for six years. Only when they have political achievements can they be promoted. He also said that in this way, officials will be able to be close to the people, concentrate on the people, not be impatient, and seek practical results, so that the people can get benefits. This memorial, entitled the compendium of protection and governance, is divided into 6 programs and 18 items, with a total of more than 5000 words, which thoroughly expounds Dai Mi's opinions on how to deal with the current problems. Many of these opinions were adopted by Emperor Xiaozong when he reorganized the imperial program.
In the first year of Zhengde (1506), Zhu houzhao, the emperor of Wuzong, took over the throne. Eight eunuchs, such as Liu Jin and Ma Yongcheng, who were called "eight tigers", were put in high position. Liu Jin, the eunuch, even claimed to be nine thousand years old, induced the emperor to have fun every day. Many imperial edicts were blocked and could not be implemented. Liu Jian, a serious and upright cabinet assistant, repeatedly stopped Wu Zong from playing around, admonished him to concentrate on governing the government. He also exposed the crimes of Liu Jin and "eight tigers" and demanded that these evils be severely punished. Liu Jian saw that the emperor turned a deaf ear and did not listen to his opinions at all, so he had to fight by retiring. In his anger, Wu Zong approved the retirement application of Liu Jian and another Assistant Minister Xie Qian, which made the power of the cabinet fall into Liu Jin's hands. At that time, Dai MI, who was in charge of Nanjing Huke, was shocked and resentful when he heard the news. He knew that Liu Jian and Xie Qian were senior cabinet ministers in the period of Xiaozong. Before Xiaozong died, he entrusted Liu Jian and others to assist Wuzong wholeheartedly. However, Liu Jin was so rampant in power, formed a party for personal gain, and eliminated dissidents. How could the country not suffer from disaster? Dai Mi then played the emperor, and proposed "please take back Liu Jian, Xie Qian and impeach Liu Jinshu", demanding that Liu Jian, Xie Qian and other cabinet ministers be invited back, and impeachment eunuch Liu Jin by name.
Dai Mi said that Liu Jian, a bachelor, and the other three accepted the orders of the former Emperor to assist his majesty. Even if they were guilty, they should be forgiven and should not be moved lightly. Besides, they were not guilty. Although Liu Jian is old, he is energetic. Xie Qian is even stronger. How can the Prime Minister of Taiping leave together? If there is no them to assist your majesty, then the treacherous officials and evil sycophants will be rampant in the world. How will the descendants evaluate your majesty? Today, if there is no such veteran generals and ministers, your majesty will be isolated from the world. Who will govern the country with your majesty? Dai Mi also strongly criticized Liu Jin and other eunuchs, and took the changes of thunder and wind in the capital, solar eclipse on New Year's day, earthquake, flood and drought and other disasters and natural phenomena as a warning to heaven. He earnestly advised that under such circumstances, his majesty and Liu Jin and other treacherous and sycophantic people would have a day-to-day banquet, gallop and shoot, not worry about elbows and armpits, not worry about a few seats, and the people's hearts should not be violated I'm crying in pain. He repeatedly begged to bring Liu Jian and Xie Qian back to the cabinet, urged the emperor to study calligraphy and history instead of riding and shooting, to be close to Confucian officials instead of the masses, to talk about government affairs instead of despicable and obscene, to work hard to cultivate morality and politics, to obey heaven's will, and to solve the people's difficulties.
How could Emperor Wu Zhong listen to such harsh opinions. Liu Jin is even more angry, even will wear mill remove fame, after the staff into prison, mutilated to death. Wang Shouren, the head of the Ministry of war, went to Shangshu to rescue Dai MI, but he was also framed by Liu Jin.
Dai MI was rational, practical, loyal and filial to the ancients, indifferent to fame and wealth, diligent and rigorous. His works include memorials to Chongfeng, collected works of Chongfeng, Chengshilu, Shiji of Zhuzi, etc. The structure of the articles is exquisite, and the feelings and scenes blend with each other, such as youlingyandongji and Chongfeng Fu. His Yi Zhou Shan Chang Zhi was selected as the economic record of famous officials in the History Department of Si Ku Quan Shu.
In the 16th year of Zhengde (1521), Shizong inherited the throne and issued an imperial edict for Dai MIPING to fight against Zhaoxue. He was specially given a funeral and a gift to Guanglu Shaoqing.
