Zhang Shixiang
Zhang Shixiang (1673-1741), whose name is Ruwan, is called shengzhai. Jinjiang Jianhu (now Chendai Lake) people. He has been a scholar for generations. In 1702, in order to obtain the qualification of taking the imperial examination, Zhang Shixiang moved to Taiwan, teaching and taking the examination at the same time.
In the 59th year of Kangxi (1720), Liang Wenxuan visited Taiwan as a Taoist and Neo Confucianism official. He invited Zhang Shixiang to take part in the annals of Taiwan. In the second year of Qianlong reign (1737), he served as a student of Taiwan government as a teacher in Zhangzhou. Later, he was ill and died in the government office.

They were recommended many times. In 1737, they served as the tutors of Zhangzhou as the Gongsheng of Taiwan government. Since he came to Taiwan to teach, Mr. Zhang has used his savings to buy land and hire people to cultivate and develop it. In addition, his sons have also made great progress: Fang Gao, the eldest son, entered Zhuluo county school at the age of 20. Later he became a student of Fu school and Gongsheng. In the third year of Qianlong's reign, he took the post of Jianning county school instructor and was promoted to Fuzhou Jiaoyu. Fang Sheng, the second son, entered Taiwan's county school at the age of 21, transferred to the government school, and graduated from Gongsheng. The three sons are far away, Gongsheng and alternate counties. Fang Da, his fourth son, entered Taiwan's county school at the age of 21, and later donated Gongsheng to Changhua. Zhang Shixiang was 64 years old when he was teaching in Zhangzhou. In Zhangzhou, the Confucius Temple and examination institute were repaired to change the old view, and a large number of talents were cultivated by setting up academic rules and taking examinations frequently. Main achievements
As early as before he went to Taiwan, Zhang Shixiang was very enthusiastic about his family business. He once participated in the revision of the genealogy of the Zhang family in Jianhu. When he was old, his family property had not yet developed greatly. Every time he thought that the ancestral hall had not been built, he carved three seals: "aim at his ancestors", "untimely work", "children and grandchildren mianzhan", encouraging children and grandchildren to inherit his ambition and build the Zhang family temple in Huzhong. Later, brothers Zhang fanggao succeeded in opening up more than 100 manors in Fengshan, Zhanghua, Zhuluo, Danshui and other places in Taiwan. More than 2000 people have descended from Zhang Shixiang in Taiwan, and they are distributed in Shulin City, pujianglun, huweixi, Sanzhi Township and Lugang, Changhua.
