In the third year of Chunxi (1176), Yue Lin was appointed as the magistrate of Qinzhou, Guangxi. In the fifth year of Chunxi (1178), the emperor of Xiaozong called on Yue Lin to say, "the discipline of the Qing family and the law of military use are far inferior to those of Zhang and Han. The Qing family has been wronged. I know it and the world knows it.". Yue Lin said with tears, "I am grateful to you for your kindness."! Yue Lin then went to Shangshu and asked for the return of the imperial letter and hand edict given to Yue Fei by Emperor Gaozong. Emperor Xiaozong ordered Zuo Zangnan to return it.
In 1185, Yue Lin was appointed judge of Sichuan Province, and in 1189, he was appointed taichangqing, Zuo Si Langzhong, fengchunku and other official posts. He went to court to invite a doctor, Fu Wen Ge Shi system, Minister of the Ministry of war, Guangdong Economic and slightly pacifying envoy, and presented to Taizhong doctor. Yue Lin, Zhu Xi and Zhang SWA were friends. With the help of all parties, he began to collect Yue Fei's posthumous writings and compile them into a book. Because of old age and illness, he died before finishing the manuscript. Yue Lin died in October of the third year of Shaoxi (1192) and lived at the age of 62. At that time, Yue Lin was an official in Guangzhou (known as Guangzhou), so Yue Ke was ten years old and traveled with his father. On his deathbed, he held the will of his third son Yue Ke: "if the loyalty of the former Duke is not shown, the injustice is not clear, and the fact is in people's eyes and ears, the day will be annihilated. Yu Chu suffered a great disaster and was a wanderer. When it comes to official career, the examination is based on experience, the interview is based on death, and the collection is not enough. Gouneng died of his father's ambition and the injustice of xueerzu, I will die in peace! After the death of Yue Lin, Yue Ke returned from Lingnan to the north.

Romance and legend
Yue Lin married
In the story of Yue family's romance, Yue Lin was exiled with his mother, Li WA, after his father, Yue Fei, was killed. After Liang Hongyu's mediation, Princess Chai and Li wa became sisters. When Yue Lin was hunting with Xiao Liang Wang, he met Li Shufu, the king of Miao. Li Shufu, the king of Miao, sent his daughter, Li Yunman, to Yue Lin. After Yue Lin followed Yue Lei to sweep the north.
On Yan Rui
After the rehabilitation of the Yue family, Yue Lin served as a prison officer, and Zhu Xi, an envoy from Changping, eastern Zhejiang Province, toured Taizhou. Because the Yongkang School of Taizhou magistrate Tang Zhongyou opposed Zhu Xi's Neo Confucianism, Zhu Xi impeached Tang Zhongyou for six years. The third and fourth states discussed the crime of Tang and Taizhou prostitute Yan Rui.
Zhu Xi ordered Huang Yan to arrest Yan Rui and imprison him in Taizhou and Shaoxing. He imposed Zhang punishment on him and forced him to confess, "between two months, he repeatedly held the rod and died." Yan Rui would rather die than follow, and said: "as a cheap prostitute, even if she is abusive with the Taishou, she will not die. However, if it's true or false, how can she falsely say that he can pollute the scholar bureaucrats? Although she is dead, she can't be framed."
The discussion between the government and the public shocked the emperor Xiaozong of Song Dynasty. He thought that it was "the scholar fighting for leisure". He transferred Zhu Xi to another post, and Yuelin appointed him to prison. He released Yan Rui and asked about his fate. Yan Rui wrote "Bu operator is not love wind dust": "it's not love wind dust, it seems to be mistaken. When the flowers fall and bloom, they are always the king of laidong. We must go and live! If you have flowers all over your head, don't ask where you are going Yue Lin ordered him to be a good wife, and later he was accepted as a concubine by the Zhao and song clansmen. There are only three Ci poems, such as "Ru Meng Ling", "Que Qiao Xian" and "Bu operator". The drama "don't ask where the slave is" adapted from it has been performing for a long time.
