Daxin (1268-1344), a poet of the Yuan Dynasty, was named Xiaoyin. Together with Tianyin and Jueyin, he was called "three hermits of poetry and Zen". He became a monk when he was a child. He worshipped Zen master Wan in Jiangxin mountain of Yongjia as his teacher. Later, he joined Zen master Jixi and presided over Jiangxin Temple of Yongjia and Lingyin Temple of Hangzhou.
Daxin, later called by Emperor Wenzong of the Yuan Dynasty, was the abbot of dajiqing temple in Longxiang, Nanjing. He was granted purple clothes and doctor Dazhong. He has 15 volumes of Sihui quotations and Pu Shi Ji.
