Zhou Lin, male, Han nationality, from Lanxi, Zhejiang Province, was born in November 1968. He joined the party in March 1988 and began to work in October 1985. He has a postgraduate degree. He once served as secretary of Xihu District Party committee of Nanchang city.
On July 23, 2015, he was suspected of serious violation of discipline and law and accepted the organization's investigation.
In September 2016, he was indicted.

Arrest according to law
On October 28, 2015, Nanchang procuratorate reported that Zhou Lin, former Secretary of the Party committee of Xihu District, Nanchang City, who was put on file for investigation by the procuratorate, was arrested according to law for suspected bribery and decided by Jiangxi Provincial procuratorate.

Zhou Lin, former member of Nanchang municipal Party committee and former Secretary of Xihu District Party committee, illegally accepted "red envelopes" and other issues. According to the investigation, after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, when Zhou Lin was Secretary of Wanli District Party committee and Secretary of Xihu District Party committee, he successively received gifts from five cadres of subordinate units, totaling 161000 yuan. From May to July 2015, Zhou Lin took a first-class round-trip flight in violation of regulations and reimbursed 20 first-class air tickets while attending a training course in other places.
Prosecution
In September 2016, Nanchang people's Procuratorate prosecuted Zhou Lin (department level), former Secretary of the Party committee of Xihu District, Nanchang City, for suspected bribery and misappropriation of public funds.
After investigation, Zhou Lin, the defendant, took advantage of his position as the county magistrate of Pengze County of Jiujiang City, Secretary of Wanli District Party committee of Nanchang City and Secretary of Xihu District Party committee to seek benefits for others, asking for or illegally accepting a pair of ivory worth RMB 9.23 million yuan from others, and embezzling 4 million yuan of public funds for personal use for profit-making activities, which had not been returned for more than three months. The case is under further trial.
