Officially renamed
After Yang hanxiu came to Chongqing, he met Zhu Yiqing, a female underground Party member who worked as a tutor in Yang Sen's house. In the early summer of 1940, after Yang hanxiu settled down with his children, he changed his name to Yang Zhihua and came to Chengdu to find Zhu Yiqing. Later, with the help of Zhu Yiqing, Yang hanxiu made a detour to qixianzhuang, the office of the Eighth Route Army in Xi'an. He met Zhu De, who was the commander-in-chief of the Eighth Route Army through Yang Sen when he was studying in Wanxian women's middle school. Zhu De recognized Yang hanxiu as soon as he met. In response to Yang hanxiu's request that "the name and surname should be changed thoroughly. I am determined to be a rebel of warlord and landlord families. I will follow the Communist revolution to the end. Even if there is no surname, I will never be surnamed Yang." Zhu De said, "as you say, if there is no surname, it's nameless. It's just the inscription beside the golden word of Wu." Since then, Yang hanxiu officially changed his name to Wu Ming.
Join the Communist Party of China
Not long after that, Wu Ming came to Yan'an women's University to study, and later turned into "Lu art", becoming the fifth student of the Department of fine arts. Die bravely
On September 2, 1949, the "1992" fire which shocked China and foreign countries broke out in Chongqing. Wu Ming, who witnessed the scene, denounced his uncle Yang Sen as the fire maker in public. In order to shirk his guilt and show his loyalty to Chiang Kai Shek, Yang Sen ordered Zhang Mingyuan, director of criminal investigation, and others to go directly to Yushe on September 17 to arrest Wu Ming. On November 23, the eve of his escape, he ordered Wu Ming to be dragged into a car and strangled to death, throwing his body into an abandoned blockhouse on jingangpo at the foot of Gele Mountain. After Wu Ming died, he could not get the title of martyr for a long time because of his family background. After smashing the gang of four, they were officially recognized as martyrs. In 1977, the exact location of Wu Ming's sacrifice was found. Her remains were later buried in Geleshan revolutionary martyrs cemetery and a monument was built in her hometown Guang'an County.
