Wu Renchen
Wu Renchen? He was a writer and book collector in Qing Dynasty. His real name is Wu Zhiyi. He changed his word to Zhiyi, which is a tool. It was named Hongxiang at the beginning, and called Tuoyuan. He was born in pinghaiwei, Xinghua prefecture (now Putian, Fujian Province). He followed his father to Renhe (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province). Kangxi eighteen years (1679) for erudite Hongci branch, granted review. He was the editor of Ming history. He was fond of reading rare books, but his family was poor and had no money to buy books. When the war broke out, all the rich families in the south of the Yangtze River fled. He exchanged money for books and added books every day, so most of the books in Wuzhong belonged to him. The collection is printed with "Zhi Yifu", "Wu Renhe and Wu Renchen seal" and so on. The book of jingtianguan, Yuelu and Qiren was highly valued by Gu Yanwu and was as famous as Wu nongxiang. He carried forward the tradition of private history compilation in our country, and determined to write a history of ten countries after Ouyang Xiu wrote the history of Five Dynasties for later generations. After a period of time of conceiving and determining the principles and styles of writing, he worked hard day and night and finally wrote the historical monograph of the spring and Autumn Annals of the Ten Kingdoms. Wu Renchen has also written many works, such as the great justice of Zhou rites, Li Tong, the textual research of spring and autumn zhengshuo, the joint notes on the history of the north and the south, the notes on the classics of mountains and seas, the supplement of words and the collection of poems and essays of Tuoyuan. The spring and Autumn Annals of the Ten Kingdoms is a great historical work with 140 volumes. The ten states are min, Wu Yue, Wu, Chu, Nan Han, Qian Shu, Hou Shu, Nan Ping, Nan Tang and Bei Han.
