Ye Shudong, male, from Xinyi County, Jiangsu Province, was born in 1932. He joined the revolution in March 1951 and was a member of the Chinese New Democratic Youth League. He was the monitor of the fourth company of the 201 regiment of the 67th division of the 23rd army of the volunteer army. On April 16, 1953, he was in the North Mountain position connecting fangshixiandong. While helping to take care of the six or seven wounded, he organized three fighters to fight and retreat the enemy six times in a row, killing and injuring more than 50 of them. After losing contact with the company, he endured fatigue and hunger, followed the direction of the enemy's shooting, and finally found his own position. He won the title of second-class hero.
