Qu Yue (1468-1535), a native of ChaoLian township (now a suburb of Jiangmen City), Xinhui County, Guangzhou Prefecture, Guangdong Province, was born in Xiping County. In the eighth year of the reign of emperor Hongzhi of the Ming Dynasty (1495), he won the imperial examination, and in the eighteenth year of the reign of emperor Hongzhi of the Ming Dynasty (1505), he won the imperial examination. He served as the county magistrate of Jiashan, Zhejiang Province. During his tenure, he worked hard and loved the people. Later, he was promoted to head of the Department of household affairs and member wailang. He was once sent to Jiangxi Province to transport grain. He was also profligate by officials. He entertained Qu Yue with public funds and was severely rejected by Qu Yue. After that, the district rose from Zhejiang Deputy envoy to Jiangxi left to participate in politics. For more than 30 years, he has been a resident of the government. He is like a son, and he is innocent. He returned home in his old age and founded ancestral temple. His works include Jian Quan Shi Ji and Xi Ping Ji.

Hongzhi eight years (1495) Zhongju, eighteen years Jinshi, was sent to Zhejiang Province Jiashan County Renzhi county. At that time, eunuch Liu Jin had the exclusive power. Later, he was promoted to Jianshou Prefecture and transferred to an Weining Prefecture. After he took office, he made an in-depth investigation of the prison and found that the former magistrate liked to use severe punishment to settle cases and convict. Eight of them were innocent, so he tried again and decided to release them.
Soon after, he was promoted one after another, from Zhejiang Deputy envoy to Jiangxi left to participate in politics, guarding Hudong. During his term of office, he used punishment in accordance with the law, put an end to private bribery, strictly controlled custody, and arrested theft.
