Liu Miao, a native of liangpengcheng (now Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province) in the Southern Dynasty, was born and died in an unknown year.

Life of the characters

When Hou Jing was in trouble, he was unable to attack Taicheng for a long time. Liu Miao once persuaded Hou Jing to beg for peace, and the whole division withdrew. Hou Jing once adopted his opinions, and his deeds can be seen in Volume 56 of the book of Liang.

Character works

There are only four poems left, such as "breaking willows", "picking mulberry", "autumn boudoir" and "seeing people weaving and chatting for it", which mostly write about women's daily life. The style of poetry is gentle, and is recorded in "Yutai Xinyong" and "Yuefu Poetry Anthology".
