Liu Xubai
Liu Xubai, a native of jingling, was promoted to Yuan Dynasty and jinshidi.
A poem by Liu Xubai: "xianzhuwen": twenty years ago, in this night, the general light and the general wind. I don't know how many years I can live, but I'm still in hemp. According to Tang Zhiyan, Liu Xubai held up a Jinshi and wrote a poem in front of the curtain, saying: "twenty years ago, in this night, there was a general light and wind." It is said in the poem that Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty is the same as Fu Chai and Emperor Yangdi of Sui Dynasty who died of immorality. Liu Xubai of Tang Dynasty studied with Pei Tan when he was a child. Pei later became a Jinshi and a senior official, but Liu was still a student. One year, when Liu Xubai took the exam, Pei Tan was the chief examiner. Remembering the scene of reading, playing and taking exams together when they were young, Liu wrote a poem on the spot: "on this night 30 years ago, there was a general light and wind. I don't know how many years I can live, but I'm still dressed in sackcloth for the Duke! " After reading Liu Xubai's poems, Pei Tan felt that his childhood playmate really had some literary talent, so he moved his heart of compassion and made him famous on the list. From then on, he entered the official career.
