Liu Chonggui, with a long character, was born in Huazhou (now Yanjin, Henan Province). Xiantong six years Jinshi. He was once a member of the Ministry of etiquette and the Ministry of war. "She just nodded and smiled. In the evening, she was waiting for the rich merchant's son with her door open. Before the son of the rich businessman came to the appointment, a thief came in to steal. He saw a room without light. Then he ran in. The woman jumped on happily. The thief thought someone was coming to catch him, so he stabbed the woman with a pig knife, then threw down the knife and ran away. The woman's family didn't find out. The son of the rich merchant came later. As soon as he entered the house, he stepped on the blood and immediately fell to the ground. At first, he thought it was water. He touched it with his hand and smelled a smell of blood. Then he felt a dead man lying on the ground and went out quickly. I got on the boat directly. The boat had been sailing all night. By daybreak, it had sailed for more than 100 li. The woman's family followed the blood to the Bank of the river. Then he reported the case to the palace. The officials in charge of the case generally asked the people who lived by the river. Some people said that a certain ship sent out at night on a certain night. The case officer immediately sent someone to recover the son of the rich businessman and put him in prison to torture. The son of the rich merchant told the truth, but did not admit to the murder. The woman's family picked up the murder weapon. Give a pig knife to the government. The sheriff ordered: "one day, a grand banquet will be held. The butchers were ordered to go to the Yamen to get the knives. They all claimed their knives and left. Only one butcher stayed at the end and refused to take the knives. The sheriff asked him why he didn't take the knife, and he said, "this is not my knife. "And asked whose knife he was. The butcher said it should be someone's knife. He asked the owner of the knife where he lived. The sheriff immediately sent someone to catch him. As a result, the murderer had escaped. So the sheriff ordered that the prisoners who should be executed in the prison, pretending to be the son of the rich businessman, should be publicly executed in the market in the evening. The families of the escaped murderers would listen to the government's news every morning and evening. Now that the "murderer" has been killed, the murderer will go home in a day or two. He was immediately arrested by the government. He confessed all the murders and was sentenced to death according to the law. The merchant's son went into the house at night and was only punished as adultery. After a beating, he was released. It can be said that Pengcheng's trial of the case is clear.
