Liu Qixiu

HUAIFANG is a native of Duyun, Guizhou. Qing Dynasty Qianlong 24 years (AD 1759) Juren, eight years (AD 1763) Jinshi. He has successively served as the county magistrate of Lingshou, Xinle and Yutian in Hebei Province.

He is good at poetry, and has two volumes of Yangyuan Shichao, which is an excellent work of Guizhou poetry. He once went to Suiyuan in Nanjing to sing with the famous poet Yuan Mei. Some poems, such as "watching apricot flowers through the garden", "watching lanterns under the plum trees in the garden" and "farewell to the master of the garden", are included in Yuan Mei's "the collection of continued companions".
