Liu Renxi
Liu Renxi (1844-1919), a native of Liuyang, Hunan Province, was named Weilu. Guangxu three years (1877) Jinshi, official to Guangxi Daotai. Later, he returned to Hunan as president of Hunan Education Association and founded Chuanshan society. He served as governor and governor of Hunan Province. He organized the CE Jin permanent peace association and served as its president. He wrote a letter to the north and the South demanding a truce. He is the author of Liu Renxi's diary and Weilu's anthology.
Profile
Liu Renxi (1844-1919), the word Gen Sheng, No. Weilu. Ouyang Yuqian's grandfather. He is from Liuyang, Hunan Province. He once studied in Chengnan Academy of Changsha. He won the first place in the sixth year of tongzhi (1867). Three years later, he became a lecturer in Daozhou academy and applied for compiling Pingjiang county annals. Guangxu three years (1877) Jinshi, as the director of the Ministry. In 1884 (the 10th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu), he served as the editor and Chief School officer of the Huidian hall. In 1889, he was transferred to Zhili Prefecture. Later, he traveled through Henan, Jiangxi, Guangxi and other provinces, and became a Taoist official in Guangxi. In 1907, he returned to Hunan and served as the supervisor of Zhonglu Normal University and the president of Hunan Education Association. The leader petitioned for the establishment of an elected House. After the restoration of Hunan Province, he served as the director of civil affairs of the governor's office, urging Guangxi to declare independence. Chuanshan society was founded in 1914 as its president. In 1915, he took part in the struggle against yuan Qutang and founded Ta Kung Pao with Bei Yunxin, attacking the monarchy and advocating the northern expedition. After being expelled, Tang Xiangming became governor and governor of Hunan Province, and later served as adviser to President Li Yuanhong. In 1918, he was the president of the "cejin permanent peace association" organized by Shanghai patriots. He wrote letters to the north and the South demanding a truce. He had contacts with Dr. Sun Yat Sen, the revolutionary pioneer. He died in 1919 at the age of 75.

Liu Renxi married Wang, and Wang Zhixiang was his brother-in-law. His daughter Liu Yixia married Ouyang Ziyun, the son of Ouyang Zhonghu, and had a son, Ouyang Yuqian.

Academic contribution
Liu Renxi's academic contribution is mainly the first time to theoretically expound and clearly affirm the historical status of Wang Chuanshan's theory in Huxiang culture. In his opinion, Wang Chuanshan's theory is "the best way to save the time". He sent a letter to the governor's office to refer it to the provincial assembly for a decision to set up Chuanshan society in Changsha, which is located at the former site of yuansixian lecture hall in the west corner of Zeng Wenzheng Temple in Xiaowumen main street. In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the society was officially established and was promoted as the first president. For seven years, he has been engaged in collecting and publishing Chuanshan's unpublished manuscripts, publishing Chuanshan journal, preparing to build Chuanshan temple, Chuanshan University and Chuanshan library, and founding Chuanshan primary and secondary schools. From the second year to the fourth year of the Republic of China (1913-1915), the society held weekly lectures to publicize Chuanshan's thought, oppose Yuan Shikai's claim to be emperor, and combine Chuanshan's theory with social time. Tan Sitong once worshipped Liu Renxi as his teacher and studied Chuanshan's posthumous letter. When Chairman Mao Zedong was studying in the first division, he often went to Chuanshan society to listen to Liu Renxi and others about Chuanshan's philosophy and expressed his recognition and admiration for his study style of "managing the world for practical use". In 1915, he founded the Journal of Chuanshan, which is still an academic journal in Hunan Province.
