Wang Hongdu (1910-1937) is a native of Xizhai village, Qianqi Township, Fuding County, Fujian Province.
Wang Hongdu (1910-1937) is a native of Xizhai village, Qianqi Township, Fuding County, Fujian Province. In the autumn of 1934, he took part in the revolutionary struggle. He once served as a member of the workers' and peasants' Red Guards in Qianqi Township and a soldier of the Dingping guerrillas of the workers' and peasants' Red Army. He took part in the agrarian revolutionary struggle and the anti "encirclement and suppression" guerrilla war in the Dingping (Fuding, Pingyang) revolutionary base. In 1936, he joined the advancing division of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army with the Red Army guerrillas. He was the instructor of a company of Dingping independent regiment and participated in the three-year guerrilla war in the Soviet areas of eastern Fujian and southern Zhejiang. After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, he joined the New Fourth Army in early 1938 and went north to resist Japan. He served as the instructor of the fifth regiment company of the third detachment. In August 1938, he died in the anti "sweeping" battle in Anhui Province.
