Qing Gong Zen master (1272-1352) was a monk of Yuan Dynasty and the 19th Zen master of linjizong.
Life of the characters
Shiwu Qinggong (1272-1352) is an eminent monk of Yuan Dynasty and the 19th Zen master of Linji sect. He is from Changshu, Jiangsu Province. the common surname is Wen, which means stone house. He was born in 1272 in the eighth year of Xianchun in the Southern Song Dynasty and died in 1352 in the twelfth year of Zhizheng in the Yuan Dynasty. He lived 81 years. Huzhou Daochang temple and Anxin Buddhist master's successor. He became a monk in Suzhou, where he was the founder of Chongfu temple. After losing her hair at the age of 20, she was given a full ring at the age of 23. The first visit to Tianmu peak, the original wonderful Zen master, after three years. After six years, he became the father of monk Gaofeng and the Buddhist monk Anxin. It was highly valued by Zen master Ji Anxin, and was once known as the "golden scale in the sea of Dharma". During the reign of emperor Shunzong of the Yuan Dynasty, he issued an imperial edict to grant golden cassock. After frequent access to Wuyue, carry forward the Zen style, and form a good relationship. He was invited to live in Fuyuan temple in Danghu (now the east gate of Pinghu in Zhejiang Province) and retreated to xitianhu (another name of Huzhou in Zhejiang Province) for more than 40 years. When his disciples asked for instructions on how to deal with the affairs after his death, he immediately chanted a verse, which said, "there is no smelly corpse on the green hill, but if you die, you still have to dig the ground and bury it. Historical status
Shiwu Qinggong, as a great master of Cao Dongzong, plays an important role in the history of Chinese Zen. Japanese scholars call him "the immortal among monks", and his teachers and Buddhist nuns call him "the golden scale in the sea of Dharma". His Zen thought is broad and profound, and has a rich system, which mainly includes: the mind is as true as the state; the Buddha's mind is the hermit thought of the mind, the hermit thought of retreat and leisure; the anti wisdom thought of judgment, knowing and seeing without wisdom; the thought of forgetting the body for the Dharma, and the thought of promoting the Dharma and benefiting the life for the masses. Qing Gong's strong point is to know and see deeply, to promote Cao Dong's stable family style, to worship the mountains and forests in life and to become a generation of Buddhist hermits, and to make great achievements in poetry creation, especially in Shanju poetry.

Anecdotes and allusions
Qing Gong had a disciple Pu Yu Tai Gu, a Korean. At the beginning of July in 1347, Puyu Taigu left Daguan temple in Yanjing (now Beijing) to visit Qinggong at xiawu mountain in Huzhou. Puyu Taigu left on the first day of August, 15 days after seeking the Dharma, and took away his cassock and Zen staff, which was "the seal of Mongolian teaching and the letter of Yi Fa". After returning home, Pu Yu was respected as a national teacher by the king of Korea. He often talked about master Qinggong's virtue in front of the king of Korea. The king of Korea admired him very much. After the death of Qing Gong, the king of Koryo went to the imperial court and gave him the title of "Buddhist monk huizhao". He moved to Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province. Master Pingshan of Jingci Temple went to Tianhu to take half of master Qinggong's relics and sent them to Koryo to build a tower in Koryo for worship.
