Fu Xingjian was born in Yinxian County, Qingyuan prefecture (now Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province). He was a native of Mingzhou, Zhejiang Province. He respected his father and lived there. The year of birth and death is unknown. Song ningzong Jiatai two years (1202) renxu branch champion.
In the renxu imperial examination, ningzong announced that he would not take the imperial examination because of his father's three-year death. He ordered Fu Xingjian, the first candidate in the provincial examination, to be the first Jinshi. In this way, Fu Xingjian became the number one scholar in the province and the number one scholar in the city. After Fu Xingjian was the number one scholar, he was granted the title of chengshilang, Secretary of Liguan, proofreader and author assistant. In the fourth year of Jiading (1211), he resigned from office and was idle at home until his end. His official career was only nine years. In the second year of Jiading (1209), Zhuangyuanfang was set up under Tianfeng tower and collapsed for a long time.
