Duan Bao, also known as Xin Ju Bao, was the eleventh generation manager of Dali in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties.
In 1365, it was established by the public and called Pingzhang. In 1366, King Liang's emissary attempted to assassinate, but was attacked seven times by King Liang. Under the mediation of Yang Sheng, governor of Heqing, he Xibing took Erhe Jinji temple as the boundary, belonging to the king of Liang in the South and Duan in the north. In the same year, he refused to borrow troops from King Liang to fight back against the red scarf army. In 1367, the envoy of the king of Liang established a good relationship between the two sides. In 1368 (the first year of Hongwu), he led his troops to Shanshan to help king Liang defeat Shexing, the leader of the red scarf army. He defeated Shi Duoluo in Haikou and was granted the title of Duke Wuding by King Liang. In 1381, Zi Duan Ming took office.
