Liang Gan
Liang Gan (1920-1995), formerly known as Liang Bangduo. Lingshan County Xinxu town Guantun village. He was one of the commanders of the armed struggle in Lingshan County during the war of liberation. He was the head of the 10th regiment of the fourth detachment of Guangdong Guangxi border column of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. After liberation, he was the chief of staff of Liuzhou military division of Guangxi military region of the Chinese people's Liberation Army.

Liang Gan studied in Lingshan simple normal school in 1940 and joined the Communist Party of China in 1942 under the education and training of progressive students and Deng chuandui, a Communist Party member. At school, he actively participated in Anti Japanese propaganda activities. After graduation, he taught in Fucheng primary school and engaged in revolutionary activities. In February 1942, he took part in the Anti Japanese armed uprising of Lingshan people led by the underground organization of the Communist Party of China, and then joined the army in Silian, Zhongling, helingbian and other places. In June, he took part in the western expedition. In the spring of 1946, he was transferred to Huang Shigao brigade of Lingshan people's armed forces as the Deputy captain. In the spring of 1947, when he led some soldiers to Fengtang to carry out a mission, he was besieged by the enemy in baimutian platoon. He was fearless in the face of danger, calmly commanded, beat back the county brigade, charged for many times, and successfully broke through the encirclement at night, killing and injuring dozens of enemy soldiers at a small cost of one casualty each of the people's armed forces. In May 1947, the captain Huang Shigao died, and he acted as the captain. From May to June, he took part in commanding the attack on Sanhe Township Office, occupied Sanhe polder, opened granary and distributed grain to farmers, and then led the team to break through the siege. Since August, he has been deputy head of the 18th regiment of the people's Liberation Army in Guangdong Guangxi border region. After the main force of the 18th regiment advanced to Hengnan, he and some soldiers stayed in the county to fight. In the summer of 1948, he was ordered to lead some teams to open up six county border areas (the border areas of Lingshan, Hepu, Bobai, Hengxian, Guixian and Xingye). In May 1949, he served as the deputy head of the new sixth regiment of the fourth detachment of the people's Liberation Army in Guangdong Guangxi border area, and took part in commanding the famous battle of Nali. In August 1949, he served as the head of the 10th regiment of the fourth detachment of Guangdong Guangxi border column of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, leading the team to cooperate with the PLA to liberate the vast area of hechinling. After liberation, Liang Gan successively served as the team leader of Hepu County, director of military service bureau of Tian'e County, chief of staff of Liuzhou military division, political commissar of people's Armed Forces Department of Nanhai County, Guangdong Province. After retirement, enjoy the treatment of division level. He died in Guangzhou in 1995, 75 years old.
