Lin Tianrui (1927-march 8, 2003) is a painter from Qie Zhong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Lin Tianrui (1927-march 8, 2003) is a painter from Qie Zhong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. When he was young, he studied design and painting under Yan Shuilong. Later, he studied sketch under Li Shiqiao. He had a friendship with Zheng Shifan, Zhang Yixiong, Zhang Wanchuan, Jin runzuo and other painters. He once taught in Kaohsiung women's middle school (now Xinxing high school). In 1952, he participated in the establishment of "Kaohsiung Fine Arts Research Association". The next year (1953), he participated in the establishment of Southern Fine Arts Association. In 1971, he formed "Kaohsiung Fine Arts Association" with Zheng Huoyi, Liu Qingrong, Lin Youchen, song Shixiong, Wang Guozhen and Luo Qingyun.
His paintings mainly focus on natural scenery, and have won the "Kaohsiung Award" for fine arts of Kaohsiung City and the "Wenxin Award" of the Executive Yuan.
