Yang Shifang (1826-1903), whose name is Lanru, was born in garmalan Department of Taiwan government of Fujian Province (now Ilan City, Ilan County, Taiwan). He was a Jinshi in the middle Qing Dynasty and served as a counsellor of Ilan department during the Japanese occupation of Taiwan.

Life
In the first year of tongzhi (1862), there were 118 Jinshi from the top three in the first year of tongzhi (1868). Soon, because of her mother's sorrow, she was unable to take up her post. in 1882, he served as the head of Yilan County and the sacrificial wine of Yangshan Academy. After Taiwan was ceded by the Treaty of Shimonoseki in 1895, the Japanese Army wanted to take advantage of Yang Shifang's reputation to pacify local resistance, and appointed him as a member of the people's salvation bureau to participate in the defense. The following year (1896, the 29th year of Meiji, Japan), Yang Shifang became a counsellor of Ilan hall, and was awarded the title of paishen the next year. He died on January 10, 1903 (the 36th year of Meiji) at the age of 70.
