Hou Yanqing (unknown birth and death) was born in Hengshan County, Hunan Province in the Northern Song Dynasty. Huizongzhenghe five years (1115) Jinshi, tiaofenchang book. Gaozong Jianyan three years (1129), followed by Yan Zhou, Xinzhou control officer. Shaoxing first year (1131), for the daily life of people, out of Chaozhou. In the third year, he was Chiqian state, and called to practice living notes. His work Tui Zhai Ji has been lost.
