Li Lianxiu, a poet and scholar in Qing Dynasty, was the son of Li Zonghan. Jiaqing was born in Yangxi village, Wenzhen, Linchuan County, Jiangxi Province in the 25th year of Jiaqing. He died in the 4th year of Guangxu at the age of 59. Parents died early, bullied by brother and sister-in-law, angry for school. Daoguang 20 years (1840) in the election, 25 years (1845) in the Jinshi, change Shu Jishi, San Guan granted editing. In the second year of Xianfeng (1852), he was promoted to a bachelor's degree and served as an examiners. He was also the president of Central University at that time and was transferred to Fujian as a scholar. At that time, Taiping army occupied Jinling and Nien army rose to the north. He actively planned to suppress the uprising army. In the third year of Xianfeng, he promoted the Minister of Dali temple. He was transferred to Jiangsu Province to study politics in five years. After his term of office was over, he was ill and lived in Tongzhou for several years. When I became an official, I would like to talk about the two academies of Zhongshan and Xiyin. Zeng Guofan recommended him many times, but he devoted himself to teaching and writing.
Li Lianxiu was knowledgeable and focused on practical learning. He had unique opinions on astronomy and geography, exegesis of names and objects, rules and regulations, trivial anecdotes, textual research and explanation, etc. there were more than 100000 words of such experience articles. His greatest achievement lies in his poetry creation. Although there is no lack of criticism of the uprising peasants in the works, it also truthfully exposes the various crimes of plundering, burning and killing by the officers and soldiers and the militia who suppressed the Taiping army, and also reflects that the Taiping army uprising was the result of heavy taxes and the people's poverty. Miao Huanzhang called his poem "the smell of the abyss is forever vast, and the petal fragrance of the east slope is known.". He has written hundreds of thousands of words, including haoyunlou Chuji, Erji, 48 volumes, biographies of Qing history, Shishan Shicun, caifengjiji, zhiwangrilu, etc., including thousands of poems, and thousands of articles in various styles, such as Zhi, Xie, Kao, Bian, Lun, Xu, Biao and Zan. Qian Zhenlun and song Jingcheng are the forerunners. A volume of Linchuan answers is attached.
