I like to collect poems and essays of the same generation in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, as well as calligraphy and paintings of the time. In 1941, he served as the director of Hezhong Library (the predecessor of Shanghai Library). More than one thousand copies of the collection of classics and histories, notes of teachers and friends, calligraphy and paintings, scrolls, etc. were donated to the museum. There are manuscripts of Weng Fanggang, Lin Xu, Zeng Muhan and you Zhenzhuang. Yi Moqing (bingshou), Lin Qinnan and Pu Xinshe were the three most famous painters. He Zhong library compiled a Book Catalogue of Li's Shuo Guo ting in Min county. He has published poetry anthologies for Zhu Zhenzhuang, Lin Xu, Lin Liangqi, Yang Zhongxi, Mao Guangsheng, Wang Yunxi, etc. His life poems and essays were published several times before his death, such as the sequel of Shuo Guo Ting Shi Zheng, etc. in October 2009, he was collected by Mr. Huang Shuhui and published as the collection of Li Xuangong's poems and essays.

There are more than 1000 collections of poems and essays in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China, such as Weng Fanggang's manuscript "Duo Shi Ji", "Zhu Zhenzhuang's poetry manuscript" and Lin Xu's manuscript "Wan Cui Xuan Yi Ji" . All the paintings and calligraphy were donated to Shanghai Hezhong library, for which the library compiled the book catalogue of Li's Shuo Guo ting in Min county. Printed books include Zhu Zhenzhuang's collection of dazhige, Lin Xu's poems left behind by wancuixuan, Yang Zhongxi's selection of ancient five character poems of past dynasties, and Mao Guangsheng's notes on Houshan poems.
