Shudong Village

Shudong village is located 38 km southwest of the county seat, 10 km away from the town's residence, bordering Yandong village and nantongguan in the East, Erdong village in MaoGong Township, MaoGong Township, and Dong opera Township in the west, and Pudong village in Defeng street in the north. There are five villager groups in the village, with 377 households and a total population of 1720. The Dong population accounts for 100%. It is a minority village inhabited by Dong people. Duzhu Drum Tower is located in Shudong village, Tongguan Township, Liping County, Guizhou Province, 35 kilometers away from Liping County. The building is listed as the key cultural relics protection unit of Liping County

brief introduction

On August 22nd, 2010, 13 of the Dong villages in Liping County, Qiandongnan Prefecture, Guizhou province gathered in Shudong village, Yandong Town, and separated the "Dong style" in 253 and was renewed under the mysterious ceremony of Dong nationality.

In the past two days, the Dong people who came from the surrounding villages to attend the ceremony gathered in Shudong. Children, adults and the elderly were all dressed up. In the grand July 13 Festival, they were looking forward to the "Festival" in legend a hundred years ago.

There are two meanings of Dong money: one is a kind of public contract between people, between families and between villages in ancient Dong society. It is a code of conduct for people in Dong society, which is called "customary law" in law circle; the other is an autonomous organization with the function of executing money contract. According to the scope of organization, there are big money and small money. Small money is composed of several or more neighboring villages, often in small watersheds or adjacent areas. Big money is combined by several small money, which is equivalent to the clan alliance or tribal alliance in ancient society. The top leader of the fund organization is "fund head".

The main functions of Dong money are to maintain social order, formulate folk regulations, mediate folk disputes, deal with breach of contract, organize public welfare construction, inherit national culture and so on. Dong money plays an irreplaceable role in the historical process of building a harmonious society in Dong areas.

On the fifth day of February in the 22nd year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1757 AD), the headmen or leaders of thirteen Dong villages, including Zhuping, Xindong, Yandong, Shudong, Tongguan, Zaigong, Pengdong, Shandong (now Sanlong), Sizhai, Kengdong, miaodong, Baidong and Jitan, gathered at the foot of luohanpojiao of Zhuping village to discuss the folk conventions for maintaining local social order and set up the ban on payment The monument remains.

This is the most important start in the history of shisanzhai area, which has always maintained the peace between villages and neighbors. Thus, Kuan was immersed in the life of the people of shisanzhai village. In the next 253 years, there was no new Kuan. Instead, regular activities of "talking about Kuan" were held from time to time, that is, to restate the old Kuan words to the people of shisanzhai village in various forms, so that we can keep them in mind.

OK: in Guangzhou, you can take train 1059 (147 yuan for sleeper, about 18 hours) to Jingzhou City, Hunan Province. There is a train from the local passenger station to Liping county every half an hour (15 yuan, 2 hours). From Liping county to Yandong Town, you can take the bus to koujiang (the ticket price is 12 yuan). There are about 20 kilometers from Yandong town to Shudong village.

Play: single column building is also called "Xianxing building". It is said that when the building was built, there was a star in the sky. On the edge of the town, there is a village called Yandong, which is the birthplace of Dong folk songs.
