architectural composition
Based on the design concept of large-scale merchant ships and Mayan temples, the China Tobacco Museum forms an external structure about 80 meters long, 25 meters wide and 30 meters high. The center of the museum's outer wall is inlaid with a 140 meter long and 4.1-meter-high granite relief with the theme of "record of smoke and cloud".
Standing in front of the museum are five large totem pillars with a diameter of 0.85 meters and an average height of 9 meters. They are engraved with mascots of dragon, Phoenix, lion, crane and horse, forming expressive features. In addition, the China Tobacco Museum also has a large library covering an area of 600 square meters, a multi-functional lecture hall that can accommodate more than 150 people, as well as a tea room and a cigarette bar for visitors' leisure. The exquisite architectural language and the architectural symbols full of life tension provide people with endless space for reverie. When you are in it, you seem to appreciate a magnificent work of art.
Tobacco has been rooted in China for more than 400 years, integrated into social life, and combined with Chinese traditional culture to form a profound tobacco culture. Through precious cultural relics, documents, models, scenes, real wax figures, photos and multimedia, the museum vividly displays the history of Chinese tobacco culture and interprets the rich connotation of tobacco culture.
What's most interesting is that in the exhibition areas of "celebrities and tobacco", "ancient and modern tobacco customs and national tobacco customs", as well as various kinds of cigarette sets, cigarette labels and pictures, you can see the ashtray used by Mao Zedong; the dry tobacco bag used by Yang Jingyu; the water tobacco bag in Ming and Qing Dynasties and the rare cigarette label "coming and going" specially designed for drifting to Jinpeng Mazu Taiwan, which make you enter a colorful art world.
Walking into the Tobacco Agriculture Museum, when you wander around the Hakka Tulou with changeable lights, approach the stilted building full of Dai Flavor, and carefully appreciate the cultural relics and documents reflecting the development of tobacco agriculture, you will surely feel the rustic and strong rural feelings from China's tobacco producing areas. As an exhibition with the development history of tobacco agriculture as the theme, the Agriculture Museum clearly reflects the introduction and spread of Chinese tobacco planting, the development and changes of cultivation and modulation, and the significant changes in the development of Chinese tobacco agriculture under the monopoly system It reflects the major events and representatives in the development process of China's tobacco agriculture, as well as the achievements of China's tobacco in agricultural science and technology and Sino foreign cooperation.
In terms of display methods, the Agricultural Museum combines light, color, sound, shape (specimen) and scenery by means of classified display, systematic display and landscape display, so as to form a unique display language of the museum and highlight the main content. This kind of display form, which is ideological, contemporary, artistic and ornamental, is undoubtedly an attempt of China Tobacco Museum in exhibition arrangement.
