Beautify and brighten

This is a new change brought about by the beautification and lighting project of Xi'er River in Dali City, which enriches the facades on both sides of the river, sets off the outline of buildings, and improves the taste of the city.
It is understood that the total investment of Xi'er River beautification and lighting project is more than 4.8 million yuan, which is about to be put into construction. The project mainly improves the lighting of the green belt and river embankment on the North banks of the south of Xi'er River from Meideng bridge to Tai'an bridge, and beautifies the bridge body of Meideng bridge, the sluice gate of Xi'er River and Tai'an bridge body. After upgrading and reconstruction, there are a variety of distinctive projection lights, water lights, floor lights, light energy lights, LED lights, etc. on both sides of the Xi'er River, reflecting the harmony in prosperity and the tranquility in brilliance. At present, the project has entered the finishing stage and is expected to be fully completed by the end of October.

Cascade hydropower stations
Erhai Lake is a large regulating reservoir in the upstream with a total capacity of about 2.9 billion cubic meters. The river is 22km long (below the Sea outlet of Erhai Lake). There is a drop of more than 600 m in the downstream with a discharge of about 30 cubic meters per second. The theoretical water energy reserve is 270000 kW. The tributaries of chencangjiang River are characterized by large drop, abundant water resources, less precipitation in the upstream and middle reaches, snow water supply and stable water supply. The downstream is located in tropical and subtropical climate In this area, the precipitation is large and the water quantity is abundant, but there is a lack of regulating reservoir, which is mainly water diversion development.
Among the tributaries of Lancang River, Xi'er river has the best utilization conditions of water energy resources. The West Erhe river is the discharge channel of Erhai Lake. Erhai Lake is one of the three plateau lakes in Yunnan Province. When the lake water level is 1973 m, the lake area is 250 km2 and the total volume is 3.16 billion cubic meters. The West Erhe river flows out of Erhai Lake, flows through Xiaguan, Yangbi and other places, and flows into Yangbi River, a tributary of Lancang River. Most of the rivers run through the deep mountains and valleys, with steep bank slopes, rapid water flow and concentrated drop, which are good conditions for the construction of hydropower stations. The cascade hydropower stations are composed of four hydropower stations (see Figure), all of which are water diversion type development, with a total utilization head of 605m, a total installed capacity of t255 MW, and an average annual power generation of 903 million kwh. First of all, the construction of the fourth cascade power station started in October 1958. Finally, a three-stage power station was built, which was completed in December 1980.
Xi'er River cascade hydropower station is planned and designed by Kunming side survey design and Research Institute and constructed by Sinohydro Bureau 14.
Cascade I Hydropower Station
The first stage of Xierhe hydropower station is located about 10km downstream of Xiaguan city. The head of the project is located at Tianshengqiao on the edge of Xiaguan Lake Basin. The dam is a down the hole sluice. The water diversion is along the tunnel on the right bank of the river. The tunnel is 4.3 ~ 5.6m in diameter and 817lm in length. A double chamber surge shaft with a diameter of 4sm and a height of 76m is set at the end. The design head is 220m, the maximum head is 245m and the minimum head is 208 M M powerhouse is a hybrid underground powerhouse, which is equipped with three Francis turbine generator units with a single unit capacity of 35 MW. The project was started in January 1972, the first generating unit in December 1979 and completed in December 1980.
Cascade II Hydropower Station
The head works of Xierhe Hydropower Station II is located about 10 m downstream of the powerhouse of the hydropower station I, and the dam is a concrete gravity dam. The water intake is located in the right bank dam, followed by a 22m long reinforced concrete open pipe, and then enters the pressure diversion tunnel 26m downstream of the dam site, with a length of 2184m and an inner diameter of 4.3m. The design head is 109m, the maximum head is 121m and the minimum head is 101sm. The ground powerhouse is equipped with four Francis turbine generator units with a single unit capacity of 12.5 MW. The project started in May 1972, the first unit generated power in July 1978 and completed in December 1980.
Cascade III Hydropower Station
The head works of Xierhe cascade 3 hydropower station is located 230m downstream of the outlet of tailrace beam of cascade 2 hydropower station. The barrage is a reinforced concrete dam. The water intake is arranged on the right bank and connected to the diversion tunnel. The length of the tunnel is 3266 m and the diameter is 4.3 M. The design head is 101 m, the maximum head is 120 m, and the minimum head is 97 M. the ground powerhouse is located at the upstream of dahejiang village, 5 km away from the powerhouse of cascade II hydropower station, and is equipped with four Francis turbine generator units with a unit capacity of 12.5 MW. The project started in 1980, the first generating unit in January 1987 and completed in December 1988.
Cascade IV Hydropower Station
The dam of Xierhe hydropower station is located near dahejiang village, which is a concrete gravity dam. The diversion tunnel is located on the left bank, with a length of 196om and a diameter of 4.3m. A cylindrical surge shaft with upper chamber is set at the end. The design head is logm, the maximum head is 122m, and the minimum head is 100m. The ground powerhouse is located at the downstream of Xi'er River, on the left bank of Yangxie River, about 3km away from the powerhouse of cascade III hydropower station. It is equipped with four Francis turbine generator units with single unit capacity of 12.smw. The project was started in October 1958, stopped in 1961, resumed in 1966, and the first unit generated power in December 1971 and completed in 1972.
