Yanliang mosque is located at the foot of Jingshan mountain on the North Bank of Weihe River to the north of Lintong. Yanliang originally belonged to Lintong county. Before the Hui uprising in Shaanxi Province in the late Qing Dynasty, Yanliang mosque was one of the main residences of Hui people (according to relevant historical records, the Hui people in Lintong County accounted for 40.5% of the total population at that time). After the failure of the uprising, the Hui people in this area disappeared, and there is no historical record. In the second half of 2000, a temporary Muslim worship site was set up in the north suburb of the city, which made the Islam in Yanliang not a blank in the 20th century. On September 9, 2007, Yanliang mosque in Xi'an was officially completed (legal entity), ending the 140 year history of Yanliang losing his mosque. The leader of Shaanxi Provincial People's Committee once said in his congratulatory message: Yanliang mosque is the youngest mosque in the province, the mosque with the widest source of Fang people, and the mosque with the highest cultural quality of Fang people.
