As a symbol of Yantai city charm and romantic holy land for lovers, Yueliangwan is located on the shore of the Yellow Sea, with Yantai Mountain on the left, East Fort on the right and Daiwang mountain on the back.
Here, rocks, sea water and harbor are integrated into one, which is very impressive. It is close to Jiuzhang cliff. After the tide recedes, many pebbles appear in the bay. East and west two headlands embrace a deep moon shaped Bay. The sea is clear, the beach is gentle, the pebbles are crystal clear, the wind is light, and the environment is quiet. A long wooden and stone dike about one meter wide and more than 20 meters wide, like a long dash, stretches quietly into the sea
Yantai Moon Bay
Yueliang Bay is also called Yueya Bay. Yantai Yueliang Bay echoes Yantai Mountain in the west, Zhifu Island in the north, Kongtong island in the East and Yudai mountain in the south. With convenient transportation, it has unique geographical location and landscape resources.

Moon Bay, a warm name. There are many places called Moon Bay in China. The scenery of Yantai Moon Bay is very beautiful. The origin of Moon Bay is unknown, but it is true that it looks like a deep moon.
A few years ago, although the scenery of Yueliangwan was beautiful, it was still a lonely and quiet place, and tourists rarely set foot in it. In 1989, a large bronze sculpture, the moon old man, was placed at the north end of the small Pier (this is the creative design of Professor Sun Xuecheng of Yantai University). Since then, it has become a place for young people to talk about love and a must for newlyweds to get married. Young people in love are here to pledge their love and ask the old man on the moon to testify; or the bride who puts on her wedding dress takes up her dress and holds the bridegroom's arm happily, carefully crossing the seawall to the statue of the old man on the moon, leaving a happy and warm memory.
The statue is made of 196 pieces of 2mm thick stainless steel with a diameter of 4.06M and a weight of 1.2t. It is the landmark building of Moon Bay.
