Zhaoling Mausoleum of Ming Dynasty was built in 1538 (the 17th year of Jiajing). It was the mausoleum site selected by Jiajing for his father. It was not used because of the strong opposition of the ministers in the court. Later, Emperor Mu Zong, the third son of Jiajing, died suddenly because of illness. In the future, he had time to build a mausoleum, and sent officials to select the site of Tianshou mountain mausoleum. After repeated examination, he decided to build the mausoleum according to the old site. Ming Zhaoling building has its unique architectural style, strict plane layout, fine construction, and complete drainage system. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, the ground buildings were demolished and renovated. It has been more than 400 years since then, and the original buildings have been dilapidated.
