Tianshan Lake

Tianchi is located on tianchiling, 74 km northeast of Aershan mountain, with an altitude of 1332.3 meters and 484 steps. In terms of altitude, it ranks third in China, following Tianchi of Bogda peak in Tianshan Mountains of Xinjiang and Tianchi of Baitou mountain in Jilin Province. The Tianchi Lake is 450 meters long from east to west and 300 meters wide from north to south. Viewed from the sky, it looks like a drop of water, more like a crystal Jasper, inlaid on the top of the magnificent and green mountains.

Like tuofengling Tianchi, it is also formed by accumulated water after volcanic eruption. One of its miracles is that long drought does not dry up, long rain does not overflow, and even the water level does not rise or fall for many years. The second wonder is that there is no river flowing into the Tianchi Lake and there is no river flowing out, but the water in the Tianchi Lake is extremely clean. The third wonder is that there are plenty of fresh fish in the lake several miles away from Tianchi, but there are no fish in Tianchi. Area size

Tianshan lake is 450 meters long from east to west and 300 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 0.31 square kilometers. It is one of the six famous Tianchi in China, ranking the third in China after Changbai Mountain Tianchi in Jilin Province and Bogda peak Tianchi in Xinjiang.

Formation time

Tianchi is the most characteristic and representative volcanic relic in the Aershan National Geopark. It was formed about 200000-300000 years ago (middle Pleistocene) and was formed by accumulated water from the crater.

Traffic information

1. Every day, there are two trains from Ulanhot to Aershan city. In the morning, the train can enjoy the forest scenery outside the window, express train, no sleeper; in the evening, the train can take pictures of the cooking smoke, slow train and two sleeper in the early morning of the next day. The train cost about 60 yuan. 2. Take a taxi or charter a car to the scenic spot after you arrive at Arshan city. There are scenic spots in the forest park, and the traffic goes to each scenic spot.

Historical legend

In ancient times, there was a fierce Mongolian hunter named an Gezheng, who was famous for his bravery, integrity, kindness, ability to ride and shoot. He often gives his prey to everyone, so he is deeply loved by all the mountain people. In a hunting, he shot a wolf bravely and rescued a beautiful fairy in white. The fairy in white felt the kindness of saving her life and gave her an arrow. From then on, he became a more famous archer far and near. Angezheng's name of Shenshe was known by the Royal housekeeper, so he reported it to the Lord. The greedy king ordered ange to pay all kinds of prey in pairs to the palace on a regular basis. Otherwise, he would be killed. Angu was hunting in the deep mountains and forests, and every time he counted all kinds of prey. However, the ruthless king was hungry. When he learned that angel Zheng's arrow was a gift from a fairy, he found Angel Zheng and ordered him to hand over the arrow. Angus is vowing to die. Natural Reserve

Tianshan Tianchi landscape nature reserve is located in KEYOUQIAN banner, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia, with a planning area of 8700 hectares.
