Historical changes
Zhongyong, also known as Yuzhong, was the second son of the king of Zhou. Because the king of Zhou wanted to establish his young son Jili, he and his elder brother Taibo fled south of the Yangtze River and established the state of Wu. Later, because Taibo had no son, Zhongyong succeeded to the throne and became the king of Wu. After his death, he was buried in Wumu mountain in Changshu, so Wumu mountain was renamed Yushan.
According to the notes of Suoyin in historical records: "Zhongyong tomb is on the Xiyu mountain in Changshu City, juxtaposed with Yanyan tomb.". "Taiping Huanyu Ji" records: "there are tombs of Zhongyong and Qi women in Yushan (the tomb of Shaojiang, the daughter of Qi Jinggong)". "Zhaozhen ZhiBei" written by Emperor Wen of Liang Jian (on Prince Xiao Tong of Liang Zhaoming) says: "if you look at Zhongyong from afar, the grave is bleak; if you are near Qi Nu, you will feel sad and boundless." This shows that the Southern Dynasty was not abandoned.
Since the Tang, song, yuan, and Ming Dynasties, those who had no performance were not restored until the Qing Dynasty. In the 25th year of Qianlong (1760), there was a descendant surnamed Zhou. It is said that after Zhongyong, the tomb gate was set up in Beimen street, from the foot of the mountain to the tomb. In the 54th year of Qianlong (1789), Zhou built another stone workshop, and Cao Xiuxian, the Jiangnan inspector, wrote the four words "you gong in the South".
