Chongqing Branch was set up in 1939. In 1952, the public-private joint venture bank of China was established by the national government after the capital of Nanjing was established. It was founded in 1928 by a division of labor, businessmen and financial circles, aiming at promoting national products and revitalizing national industry. In July of that year, the Preparatory Committee was set up and began to make preparations. The next year, the Preparatory Committee was set up as the preparatory office, Kong Xiangxi was elected as the preparatory Director, and the prospectus was revised to set the total capital of 20 million yuan. The government advocated the national fund-raising organization, with 2 / 5 of the official shares, 3 / 5 of the commercial shares, and 1 / 4 of the pre paid shares, totaling 5 million yuan. It shall be submitted to the Executive Council of the Executive Yuan for approval and then to the national government for approval and record. On November 1, the founding meeting was held to elect Kong Xiangxi as the chairman of the board of directors and song Ziliang as the general manager. The head office is located in Shanghai with branches in Nanjing, Hankou, Guangzhou, Chongqing and Hong Kong. Due to the background of Confucius and Song Dynasty, the business developed rapidly. By the end of the Republic of China, the deposit had exceeded 40 million yuan. After the four families merged the three banks of China Tong Shang, Siming and China industrial, the bank was also known as the "small four banks" because of its official stock relationship.
