Historical evolution

In early 1984, the school began to prepare for the establishment of Rizhao teaching point. In August 1985, the school set up an office in Rizhao, located in shijiusuo. Rizhao City loaned the office a large courtyard and a three-story building as teaching, student accommodation and office space. The newly recruited junior college students from English department and geography department were transferred to Shijiu Institute, with a total of 86 students. On September 25 of the same year, Rizhao teaching center held the first opening ceremony. So far, our school has a school base in Rizhao area. In 1988, Rizhao office was renamed Rizhao Branch. On September 28 of the same year, the foundation laying ceremony of Rizhao Branch was held. Since then, there has been a new development in Rizhao.

In October 1999, the school began to prepare for the construction of Rizhao campus, and the final site is No. 50, Yantai North Road, Rizhao City. The first phase of the project was started in September 2001 and completed on September 25, 2002. The completion ceremony and opening ceremony of the first phase of the project were held. In September 2003, the second phase of the project was completed. In September 2004, the third phase project was completed and Rizhao campus was completed. So far, the school running in Rizhao has risen to a new height.

The engineering discipline of Engineering College of Qufu Normal University has entered the top 1% of ESI in the world, ranking 797 in the world. In 2016, it was selected as the first-class discipline in Shandong Province.
