Luo Ronghuan's former residence is located in Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, which is an important town in Central South China and a famous historical and cultural city. It is a national 4A tourist attraction, a national key cultural relic protection unit, 100 national Red Tourism classic scenic spots, a national patriotism education demonstration base, a national defense education demonstration base, and the fourth top ten tourist attractions in China's red tourism market.
On November 26, 1902, Luo Ronghuan, the founding marshal, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, was born in the new big house of Nanwan flagpole yard, Hengzhou Prefecture, Chengui Road, Hengyong county. At the age of 3, his family moved to Nanwan street. At the age of 12, he moved to yigongxiang temple. In 1921, he set up night school for farmers in his hometown. In 1926, he engaged in farmers' movement in his hometown and organized "Hengshan dream nine District farmers' Association". In the spring of 1927, he left here to take part in the uprising in southern Hubei, and then took part in the Autumn Harvest Uprising, becoming the leader of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army, the Eighth Route Army, and the Chinese people's Liberation Army. In 1983, the former residence was listed as a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. In 1985, it was fully repaired and opened to the public. In 2011, it was rated as a national 4A tourist attraction. In 2013, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
In December 2016, Luo Ronghuan's former residence was listed in the list of national Red Tourism classic scenic spots.
Introduction to former residence
Luo Ronghuan's former residence is located in Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, which is an important transportation hub, an important town in central and South China, and a famous historical and cultural city. It is now a national 4A tourist attraction, 38 kilometers away from Hengyang City, adjacent to provincial highway s315 and Hengyan expressway. It is an important part of the golden tourist route of Hengshan, Jishui, Yandi mausoleum and Jinggangshan.
The former residence of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, also known as yigongxiang ancestral temple, is located in the south of Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City. It was built in 1914. It is a ancestral temple advocated by Luo Guoli, the father of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, to commemorate the 12th generation ancestor yishangong. It has three entrances and four compartments, 20 houses and a construction area of more than 530 square meters. To introduce the glorious life of Luo Ronghuan, there is a display room in his former residence, displaying more than 150 precious documents, photos and objects. Hengyang Tourism Bureau has compiled the "red tourism development plan of Luo Ronghuan's hometown" from a high starting point. It has established that taking Luo Ronghuan's former residence as the center, red tourism as the leader, patriotism education and revolutionary tradition education as the theme, the development path of combining "red tourism" with "green tourism" is to maximize the political, economic and cultural functions of "red tourism" It should be brought into full play in the socialist construction in the new period. From 2006 to 2010, the former residence received more than 2000 groups from inside and outside the province, with a total of more than 4 million visitors. Marshal Luo Ronghuan (1902-1963) was a great communist soldier, proletarian revolutionist, militarist and politician. He was the founder and leader of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. His former residence is located in Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, 21 kilometers away from Hengyang City. It is a ancestral hall built by Luo Guoli, the father of Luo Ronghuan, to commemorate yisangong, the ancestor of the twelve dynasties, so it was originally called yigongxiang ancestral hall. In 1914, Luo Ronghuan moved with his parents to yigongxiang temple, where he spent his youth. Later, he came back to his hometown to set up night schools for farmers and organize farmers' associations.
The former residence covers an area of more than 700 square meters, and its main building area is 406 square meters. It is of brick and wood structure, with a single floor, two in and five bays. It has a hard top, small green tiles, ridge and cornice, and a sealed volcanic wall. The first entrance is the foyer, with the front porch and ear chambers on both sides of the foyer, which used to be "Yonglong grocery store" and "Yonglong Drugstore"; the second entrance is the main foyer, with a Shentai in front of the foyer and a half body statue of Marshal Luo Ronghuan on both sides of the foyer; the two entrances are the foyer, with octagonal caisson and painted eight immortals on the wall, with octagonal doors between the foyer and the foyer, and patio on both sides of the foyer. The wing rooms on both sides of the central axis are bedroom and study, fire room, reception room, gym, etc. On the front door of the former residence, on the windows of the Liang Fang and the two box archway, there are reliefs, painted door gods, two dragons playing with pearls, Qilin throwing balls, the stories of characters such as "King Wen's visit to sages" and "the marriage of Taoyuan", as well as various flower and bird patterns of characters, and there are also piled plastic decorations on the ridges and long heads. Behind the main building is a miscellaneous house with a rice milling house, kitchen, pigsty and cowshed, with a construction area of about 140 square meters. In 1985, the former residence was fully restored and the restoration exhibition was held. The storage cabinet, shelf bed, drawer table, bookcase, dresser, double shadow mirror, bedside stool and so on displayed in Luo Ronghuan's bedroom are all the original objects used by Luo Ronghuan. At the same time, the miscellaneous house was renovated into an auxiliary exhibition room to display Luo Ronghuan's life story. The former residence was officially opened to the outside world on November 7, 1985. Hu Yaobang, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, inscribed the plaque of "Luo Ronghuan's former residence". In 2002, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Luo Ronghuan's birth, the Hengdong County Party committee and people's Government of the Communist Party of China invested 14.75 million yuan to repair Luo Ronghuan's former residence and related ancient buildings, restore the exhibition room after the former residence to a miscellaneous house, renovate and construct the surrounding environment of the former residence, and form a cultural relic scenic spot around Luo Ronghuan's former residence.

Located in Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, the central and southern important town, the memorial hall of former residence of Marshal Luo Ronghuan is a national 4A tourist attraction, 100 national classic red tourist attractions, national patriotic education demonstration base and civilized tourist scenic spot of Hunan Province. It is composed of the former residence of Luo Shuai, the Bronze Statue Square of Luo Shuai, the exhibition hall of Luo Shuai's life and achievements, the office of Luo Shuai and the bedroom restoration exhibition room. Luo Shuai's former residence was built in 1914, with a construction area of 540 square meters; Luo Shuai's life achievement exhibition hall was built in 2002, with a construction area of about 1200 square meters, and a display area of 6100 square meters. It is divided into five parts, displaying valuable photos and historical documents of Luo Shuai in various periods. Marshal Luo Ronghuan's former residence is located in Nanwan street, Nanwan village, Ronghuan Town, Hengdong District, Hengyang City. It is located in the only pass of China's famous tourist "golden passage" and "Nanyue Hengshan Jinggangshan", 60 kilometers away from Nanyue Hengshan. Nanwan street is a group of ancient buildings in Qing Dynasty, which are connected by Qingshiban street. The former residence of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, Heitian Luo's yigongxiang temple, is located at the northwest end of the street. The temple was built in 1914 by Mr. Luo guogen, the father of Comrade Luo Ronghuan, in memory of his 12 generations of ancestor Yishan Gong. The building area is more than 540 square meters, covering an area of more than 700 square meters.
In order to commemorate Comrade Luo Ronghuan and carry out the education of revolutionary tradition. On October 10, 1983, the people's Government of Hunan Province announced the former residence as a key cultural relics protection unit. Later, the provincial cultural relics department and the municipal and county finance allocated special funds for maintenance.
Structure of former residence
The restored former residence of Luo Ronghuan completely retains its original appearance. The main display area is more than 380 square meters, which reproduces the life scene of Luo Ronghuan's family in those years, and restores the bedroom and study of Luo Ronghuan, as well as the bedroom of Luo Ronghuan's grandmother, parents, living room, gym, stove house and Yonglong grocery store. The storage cabinet, board bed, drawer, washing table, bookcase, dressing box, double shadow mirror and small square table at the head of bed on display in Luo Ronghuan's bedroom are all original objects used by Comrade Luo Ronghuan. The fire tables, cupboards and benches displayed in the stove house are also original. Also on display are the antique bed, drawer and spinning wheel in grandma's bedroom. The gymnasium is the place where Comrade Luo Ronghuan's brother practices martial arts. It is decorated with stake board, stone lock, stone burden, knife, gun, stick, rake, sword, halberd and other folk martial arts equipment. The auxiliary exhibition room is reconstructed from four miscellaneous rooms, including kitchen, pig and cattle pen, and mortar house.
