Halten international hunting ground is a National Wildlife Park in Gansu Province. It is a hunting ground integrating tourism, entertainment and games. It is also suitable for exploration, tourism and natural sightseeing.

Halten international hunting ground and Dunde glacier are on the same tourist route. It is located in halten wide valley 200 km south of Akesai County, sandwiched between Danghe south mountain and turgen Daban mountain.

Halten international hunting ground is located in the south of Akesai County, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province. There are many high mountains in Aksai, and there are mountain glaciers in each mountain, especially in tuergendaban mountain, which is more than 300 kilometers southeast of the county seat. There are 272 glaciers in the whole county, with a total area of 343.72km2, while the glacier area in tuergendaban is 274.66km2, accounting for 80% of the total area. Among them, the largest Pingding glacier in Qilian Mountains, the Dunde glacier. The area of Dunde glacier is 57.07km2, with an altitude of 5290m at the top and 4580m at the end of the glacier tongue. There are seven large and small glaciers that can be climbed and toured. The top surface is gentle, with a slope of about 30. It is easy to climb without danger.

Scenic spot details

With a total area of 126 square kilometers and an altitude of 3000-3300 meters, halten international hunting ground belongs to alpine grassland meadow. The vegetation includes Stipa purpurea, Ceratoides, Festuca arundinacea, weilingcai, Mongolian onion and so on. There are many kinds of forage, soft quality, good palatability and rich nutrition. The mountain valley is a paradise for wild animals with abundant living space and hiding in the mountains. There are many wild animals, including 28 species of 16 families, 11 orders, 2 classes, including 11 species of wild yak, Tibetan wild donkey, snow leopard and 17 species of argali, rock sheep, gazelle and Tibetan gazelle.

Halten wide valley, where halten international hunting ground is located, is 15-55 km wide from north to South and 200 km long from east to west. It is an alpine grassland meadow scenic spot. The vast grassland, the broad alluvial fan, the surging halten River, the tall sand mountains, the open and mysterious, the surrounding mountains, the deep canyon, the overlapping peaks, the towering clouds, the jade dragon lying in the snow, the snow covered, the deep artistic conception. The total length of daherteng sand in the valley is 144 km, with an annual runoff of 295 million cubic meters. It originates from high mountain glaciers and runs through dangerous valleys and shoals, which can be used for rafting.
