Qingyuan County, a county under the jurisdiction of Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the southwest of Zhejiang Province. The terrain belongs to the middle mountain area of Southwest Zhejiang, with Valley, basin, hill, low mountain, middle mountain and other landforms. The climate belongs to the subtropical monsoon area, warm and humid, with four distinct seasons. Historical evolution
As early as the Neolithic age, there were human beings living in Qingyuan. In Xia, Shang and Western Zhou Dynasty, the territory of Qingyuan was Yue (the place where Yue people lived in ancient times).
In the spring and Autumn period, it was Pingxiang in the east of Wu and Yue.
In the late Warring States period (about 306 BC), Chu destroyed Yue and belonged to the state of Chu.
Qin belongs to Minzhong county (the county government is in today's Fuzhou City).
In the third year of Huidi (192 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, Dongou state (Wenzhou City) was established as the territory of Dongou. In the second year of the first Yuan Dynasty (85 BC), Huipu county was set up in Dongou County, which is located in Zhang'an Town, Jiaojiang District, Taizhou City, and has jurisdiction over the three cities of Taiwan, Wenzhou and Lishui. It belongs to the Kuaiji County of the governor's Department of Yangzhou (the county government is in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province).
In the early period of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 25), Huipu province entered Yinxian county (now Ningbo City). In the first year of Zhanghe (87), it was analyzed that the hometown of Huipu was set up as zhangan county (governing today's zhangan town of Jiaojiang in Taizhou), which belongs to the Kuaiji County of Yangzhou governor's Department (governing today's Shaoxing City). In the fourth year of Jian'an (199), Songyang county was set up in chapters, belonging to Yangzhou Kuaiji County; in the 23rd year of Jian'an (218), Suichang county was set up in the south of Taimo County, belonging to Yangzhou Kuaiji county.
From the Three Kingdoms, the two Jin Dynasties, the southern and Northern Dynasties to the second year of Qianyuan in the Tang Dynasty, Songyang County successively belonged to Linhai County, Yongjia County, Chuzhou, Jiangnan Dao (or Jiangnan Dong Dao) and kuzhou of Yangzhou, while Suichang County successively belonged to Dongyang, kuzhou, Jiangnan Dao (or Jiangnan Dong Dao) and kuzhou of Yangzhou.
In the second year of Qianyuan (759), Suichang county and Songyang county were established as Longquan county.
In 937, the state of Fujian seized half of Songyuan Township in Longquan County of Wuyue state (now Xidong, Weitian, Jiuxian, Hedong, Chaping, Songyuan town without qianyuanqiao administrative village in Songxi County of Fujian Province, and Jinping administrative village in Tieshan township of Zhenghe County) and built Songyuan town (now Jiuxian village in Songyuan County of Fujian Province). The other half (today's Pingdu, Yushang, Longgong, Annan, Songyuan, Sishan, Baishanzu, Hehu, Xianliang, wudabao, Zhangcun, JuShui, Longxi, etc.) still belong to Longquan County, Chuzhou of Wuyue state.
The Northern Song Dynasty belonged to Longquan County, Chuzhou, on Liangzhe Road (or Liangzhe East Road).
In 1197, Songyuan township of Longquan county was established as a county with half of Yanqing township (now Xiaomei, Chatian, chafeng, Qingxi, Siyuan of Longquan City and Sanji, Huangzhen, Huangtian of Qingyuan County). It was named "Qingyuan" in the year of ningzong. It was the beginning of the establishment of Qingyuan County, belonging to Chuzhou of East Zhejiang Road. Mengzhou county (now Qingyuan County Songyuan town).
In the early Yuan Dynasty, Qingyuan County belonged to Chuzhou road of Jianghuai province (changed to Zhejiang Province in 1284).
In 1370, Qingyuan County was removed and Qingyuan inspection department was set up to inspect farmland (now Longquan City). In the 13th year of Hongwu's reign, Qingyuan County was restored, belonging to Chuzhou Prefecture of Zhejiang Province. In 1452, a part of shengtianli in Minghe township of Qingtian County (now Jianggen, Zhuping, Guantang, Zuoxi, Qingzhu, Suhu, Lingtou, Nanfeng and other villages) was assigned to Qingyuan County, and Xiaomei, Chatian, chafeng, Qingxi and other places in half of Yanqing Township were assigned to Longquan county.
The Qing Dynasty belonged to Chuzhou Prefecture of Zhejiang Province (it was changed to Chuzhou military and political branch of Zhejiang military government during the 1911 Revolution). During the reign of Jiaqing (1796-1820) in Qing Dynasty, Jincun and Xiayang of Qingyuan County were assigned to Longquan county.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Qingyuan County was directly under the governor of Zhejiang Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (1914), it belonged to Ouhai road of Zhejiang provincial governor's office. In 1927, the road was abandoned, directly under the Zhejiang provincial government. In June 1932, it was the 12th county government supervision district of Zhejiang Province (renamed as the third temporary special zone in October of the same year, with its office located in Longquan). In June 1935, it was transferred to Lishui administrative supervision district, and in April 1936, it was renamed the ninth administrative supervision district. In April 1948, it was renamed the Sixth District of administrative supervision and was located in Lishui. In July of the same year, it was renamed as the seventh administrative supervision district, located in Yunhe County.
On May 17, 1949, Qingyuan was peacefully liberated. On July 5, Qingyuan County People's government was established (the county government is located in Songyuan town), belonging to the seventh special district of Zhejiang Province (renamed Lishui special district in October of the same year).
From January 1952 to April 1963, Lishui district was abolished and changed to Wenzhou district.
In March 1954, wukeng Township, originally belonging to Jingning County, was assigned to Qingyuan County (now belonging to Zhangcun township).
In May 1957, Longyan village, originally belonging to Longquan County, was assigned to Qingyuan County (now belonging to Baishanzu). In March 1958, ZhangTian village in Longgong township was assigned to Zhenghe County, Fujian Province. Qingyuan County was merged into Longquan County in November 1958.
On July 17, 1973, the State Council approved the restoration of the organizational system of Qingyuan County.
In March 1975, Siyuan Township, which originally belonged to Qingyuan County, was assigned to Longquan county.
On August 18, 1975, the Revolutionary Committee of Qingyuan County (renamed as the county people's Government in July 1981) was set up for office, belonging to Lishui area.
In 2000, Lishui district was abolished and prefecture level Lishui City was established. Qingyuan county belongs to Lishui City.

Qingyuan County is located in the southwest of Zhejiang Province, between 27 ° 25 ′ - 27 ° 51 ′ N and 118 ° 50 ′ - 119 ° 30 ′ E. It borders Shouning, Zhenghe and Songxi counties in Fujian Province in the East, South and West, and Longquan City and Jingning She Autonomous County in Zhejiang Province in the north. It is 49 kilometers long from north to South and 67 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of 1898 square kilometers. Songyuan street, where the county government is located, is 210 kilometers away from Lishui City and 532 kilometers away from Hangzhou city.

Qingyuan County is located in the middle mountain area of Southwest Zhejiang Province. There are many landforms, such as valley, basin, hill, low mountain, middle mountain and so on. The terrain inclines from northeast to southwest. Donggong mountain is located in the East and north of Zhejiang Province. There are 23 peaks above 1500 meters above sea level. Baishanzu, the main peak, is 1856.7 meters above sea level, which is the second highest peak in Zhejiang Province. Zhailang village at the north foot of Baishanzu, 1210 meters above sea level, is the highest residential area in Qingyuan County. The relative height of Intermountain basin (Valley) is 600-800 meters above sea level. In the southwest and middle of Baishanzu, there is xianxialing Fengling vein, with relatively low terrain In the East and the north, the valley is relatively wide. The relative altitude of Intermountain basin (Valley) is 330-600 meters above sea level. Xinyao village is 240 meters above sea level, which is the lowest point in Qingyuan County.

Qingyuan County has a subtropical monsoon climate, warm and humid, with four distinct seasons. The annual average temperature is 17.4 ℃, the precipitation is 1760 mm, and the frost free period is 245 days. The general feature is that there is no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. In some parts, the temperature in the East and north is lower than that in the southwest and middle, the frost free period is shorter, and the temperature difference between day and night is larger. This climate is most suitable for the growth of mushrooms and other fungi.

There are seven rivers in Qingyuan County, namely Songyuan River, Anxi River, Zhukou River, Nanyang River, Zuoxi River, Xixi River and Balu river. Except Zhukou River, they all flow into Oujiang River in Northeast, Minjiang River in southwest and Jiaoxi River (Fu'an River) in southeast with Donggong mountain range as the watershed. Therefore, it is said that "water flows from two provinces to three rivers".
