Gaocheng palace lantern museum is built by the palace lantern research and development center of Gaocheng District, Shijiazhuang city. It is the only museum with the theme of palace lantern culture in China, covering an area of more than 6000 square meters.

Development history

Gaocheng palace lantern has a long history. "Craft paper carving palace lantern" is also the representative work of Gaocheng palace lantern. Its products have developed into five series of craft paper carving palace lantern, traditional red yarn palace lantern, large electric palace lantern, wooden palace lantern, Japanese and Korean palace lantern, with an annual output of more than 300 varieties There are 2.6 million craft paper palace lanterns, 340000 red yarn palace lanterns and 840 large electric lanterns. Hebei Provincial Tourism Bureau official said that in Shijiazhuang, where tourism product development is relatively lacking, Gaocheng palace lantern has become a representative of Shijiazhuang tourism products. Relying on Gaocheng palace lantern Museum, it has formed a "palace lantern culture tour" route in tourism. Gaocheng palace lantern was authorized by Shanghai World Expo on November 25, 2009 as a "licensed commodity of Shanghai World Expo 2010". The Shanghai World Expo Organizing Committee also decided to use Gaocheng palace lantern to decorate the China elements Pavilion.
