Dachangtu mountain
Dachangtu mountain belongs to Changtu town, Daishan County, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China, with latitude of 30 ° 15 ′ N and longitude of 122 ° 20 ′ E. It is the largest island among the big and small Changtu islands.
It is 13.5km away from Gaoting in the West and opposite to xiaochangtu mountain in the northwest by Changtu port. It is an irregular strip with east-west trend, 13.6 km long from east to west, 5.2 km wide from north to south, 39.1 square kilometers of land area, the highest point of DALONGSHAN, 290.6 meters above sea level, and 73.92 km long coastline. Dachangtu mountain is irregular strip shape, east-west trend, the island is dominated by hills, accounting for about 85%. In the Song Dynasty, it belonged to Penglai township of Changguo County, and in the Qing Dynasty, it was Changtu village of Penglai township of Dinghai county (Zhili Hall); in the early Republic of China, it was Changtu Township, and in 1934, dachangtu mountain separated from Changtu Township and set up Dongjian township. Since June 1953, it has been in Changtu District of Daishan County, with Changdong, Xijian and Dongjian townships. After Dongjian township was merged into Changtu town in 1992, the whole island belongs to Changtu town, and there are 12 administrative villages on the island. At the end of 2000, there were 2909 households with 7249 residents.
