It is said that when Zhuge Liang was on a southern expedition, when he passed nannuo mountain, the soldiers were unconvinced by the soil and water and got eye disease. Zhuge Liang put his walking stick into the ground and turned it into a tea tree. The soldiers picked the leaves and boiled water and drank it. As a result, nannuo mountain was also known as Kongming mountain. Zhuge Liang didn't reach the south of Yunnan when he conquered nanzhong. Zhuge Liang's tea planting was just a wish and a legend.

Nannuoshan tea garden has a total area of more than 21600 mu, including 12000 mu of ancient tea garden. The ancient tea trees are mainly distributed in 9 natural villages, with a relatively concentrated area of 2900 mu of tea gardens and 1200 mu of ancient tea gardens in Zhulin village. Banpo village has 4200 mu tea garden and 3700 Mu ancient tea garden. There are 3500 mu tea gardens and 1500 mu ancient tea gardens in the village.
