Kaihua County
Kaihua County is located in the west of Zhejiang Province, the northwest of Quzhou City, the source of Qianjiang River and the junction of Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces. It is between 28 ° 54 ′ 30 ″ n to 29 ° 29 ′ 59 ″ E and 118 ° 01 ′ 15 ″ e to 118 ° 37 ′ 50 ″ E. It borders on Chun'an County in Hangzhou in the East and northeast, Changshan County in Hangzhou in the East and south, Yushan County and Dexing City in Jiangxi Province in the southwest, Wuyuan County in Jiangxi Province in the West and northwest, and Xiuning County in Anhui Province in the north. The county has a circumference of 297.73 km, a width of 59.2 km from east to west, a length of 66 km from north to south, and a total area of 2236.61 square kilometers.
Kaihua County is the birthplace of Qiantang River, a national ecological county and a national ecotourism demonstration area. Qianjiangyuan National Park in the county is one of the ten national park construction pilot units in China. The main scenic spots are national 5A scenic spot, Gengong Buddhist culture tourism area, qianjiangyuan National Forest Park, Gutianshan National Nature Reserve, colorful Changhong, huaqiangu scenic spot, Jiuxi Longmen, Jinxing, Xiayu and other beautiful villages. In the 23rd year of Jian'an (218), Sun Quan was resettled in dingyang county (now Changshan County), and Kaihua belonged to dingyang county.
In the fifth year of Xianheng (674) of the Tang Dynasty, Changshan County was established. Today, Kaihua belongs to Changshan County.
In the fourth year of Qiande (966) of the Northern Song Dynasty, Qian Chu, king of Wu and Yue, set up Kaihua farm in the seven townships of Kaiyuan, Chonghua, Jinshui, Yutian, Shimen, Longshan and Yuntai in the west of Changshan County.
In 981, at the request of Zheng an, the magistrate of Changshan County, kaihuachang was promoted to Kaihua County, which belongs to Quzhou.
Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties remained unchanged.
In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to Jinhua Road.
In 1927, the system of Taoism was abolished and directly under Zhejiang Province.

On May 4, 1949, Kaihua County was liberated, belonging to Quzhou special area.
In 1955, Quzhou district was abolished, and Kaihua County belonged to Jiande district.
In December 1958, Jiande district was abolished and Kaihua district was changed to Jinhua District.
In May 1985, Jinhua District was abolished and divided into Jinhua City and Quzhou City. Kaihua County belongs to Quzhou City.
