Wanhe Drum Tower

Located on the East Bank of Wushui River, Wanhe Drum Tower is a landmark building of Dong nationality. Completed in 2005, it is composed of Lusheng tower, Pipa tower, Ditong tower and two Duige towers. The eaves corridor composed of 360 dragon lanterns connects the four drum towers in the periphery to form a round treasure to protect the central drum tower. It means that the dragon will never leave here to protect the treasure.

The drum tower in the center is 23.8 meters high and has 15 floors. A Lusheng is inserted on the gourd on the top of the tower. The diameter of the main column in the tower is more than 200 cm. There are four small drum towers of the same size around the four corners of the central drum tower, all of which have seven floors. Each floor of the drum tower has eight sides, with curved corners. The top of the drum tower with double eaves and bucket arches is covered. All the floors are connected by lifting towers and lifting beams. The wooden bolts are connected with each other, and the lattice bars and windows are all around. Pipa building and Dijian building each have a staircase, from which people can climb up to the second floor of the drum tower, take a tour along the eaves corridor, enjoy the architectural art of the drum tower, or climb up to overlook the wonderful scenery and beautiful scenery on both sides of the dancing water!
