Zhijin Temple

Zhijin temple, also known as hukou temple, is located in the south of xiagaishan, Songxia Town, Shangyu City, and the north of dingjiabu village. The gate faces the baisong river. There is a bridge across the lake. The river network is intertwined and the fields are vast. Historical records: Zhijin temple was built in the 31th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. It was originally named Zhijin temple. It was one of the 24 temples in Quanyu. It was renamed Zhijin temple in the 15th year of Jiaqing reign of Qing Dynasty (1810). It was rebuilt in the 19th year of the Republic of China (1930). It was destroyed during the cultural revolution. After the reform and opening up, local believers started to rebuild it. It was once renamed Hukou temple. It was approved as an open Buddhist place in 2004 and restored to its current name in 2007.

According to Shangyu county annals

Shangjin temple was built in 1552, the 31th year of Jiajing reign of Ming Dynasty. It was originally named Zhijin temple. It covers an area of nearly 100 mu. The main hall is majestic and tall, and the temple is full of forests. It is full of incense. The ancient trees are towering and the sun is covered with shade. Pilgrims come as far as Suzhou and Hangzhou and other state capitals.

Zhijin nunnery has experienced several brilliant and ups and downs, lasting for 14 generations of abbots. In 1810, the 14th generation of Abbot Shi WuJie enlightened all living beings, opened up wisdom, pointed out mazes for the lost people, got rid of the sea of bitterness, lived a wise life, and gave good fortune. Therefore, it was renamed Zhijin temple, and Zhijin temple has its name forever in the world.

During the period of the Republic of China, the warlords were fighting and the people were in dire straits. In 1930, master Shi Jisheng, the 15th generation of Abbot of Zhijin temple, decided to rebuild Zhijin temple and reappear its glory in order to carry forward the Buddhism and help all living beings. After six years of hard work, he finally built the magnificent and magnificent Zhijin temple, which covers an area of more than 100 mu. More than 60 temples, including the main hall, the hall of longevity, the hall of heavenly king, and the hall of the west, were built, with hundreds of big and small halls and hundreds of monks. It became a famous temple at that time.

During the cultural revolution, Buddhist activities stopped all over the country, Zhijin temple was also doomed, the hall was burned, the temple was destroyed, and the monks returned to the common customs and joined the army!

After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee, a hundred flowers blossomed and Buddhist activities mushroomed. In 1990, the temple was returned. In 1993, Shi Laichun, a disciple of master Shi Jisheng, gathered local believers to rebuild it and changed its name to Hukou temple.

In 1997, it was approved by Shangyu public Religious Bureau as a place for Buddhist activities.

In October 2000, the Shangyu people's Religious Bureau and the Buddhist Association entrusted the abbot of Yongjun temple.

In January 2004, Shangyu Municipal People's Government approved the opening of the site for Buddhist activities. Under the guidance of the public Religious Bureau and the municipal Buddhist Association, with the joint efforts of the four disciples of monks and laymen, and the wise people from all walks of life, the temple incense has become increasingly prosperous and the number of pilgrims is increasing.

In January 2007, it was registered as a kind of Buddhist temple by Shangyu public Religious Bureau and restored to Zhijin temple. In order to promote the great virtue of Buddhism, carry forward the wisdom of Buddhism, benefit the world, and help all living beings, master Yongjun inherited the good tradition of Zhijin temple, carried forward the good tradition of Shifu's helping the world and others, lived up to the public trust, realized the wishes of all the residents, and decided to expand Zhijin temple. After 13 years, xixiangfang, dizang hall, Mingxin building, Yuantong hall, Daxiong hall and fire protection barrier have been built successively. In addition, wuguantang, Shanmen, Tianwang hall, Zhonggulou, nianfo hall, Zutang, Guanfang, Fangfang, duobaota, cangjing building, Zen garden, green Zen forest and other projects will be expanded.

We firmly believe that under the light of the Buddha and the love of all walks of life, these magnificent projects of Zhijin temple will be a complete success.

Zhijin temple will also become more and more brilliant. Pilgrims will flow and its reputation will be widely spread. As far as the United States, Hong Kong, Guangdong, Beijing, Tianjin and other places, Zhijin temple will come to pay homage one after another. It will continue to make greater contributions to building a harmonious society, praying for the peace of the country and the people, benefiting the public, and promoting Buddhism!

Route

In the past, the area from dingjiabu shanghutou xiahu jinfengliu east of Gaishan village to Xiaoyue lake at the foot of Dashan was called xiagaihu in ancient times, and dingjiabu was the entrance of Zhengshi lake. Nowadays, there are many place names as evidence. Chanwan belt is called hutianli, Nanhu belt is called nanhutian, and a river in East Lake is called Tangbi. Because of the construction of a temple at hukou, it is called Hukou temple. In 2008, under the care of the local government and relevant departments, with the enthusiastic support of all sectors of society and the broad masses of believers, the first phase project of Zhijin temple, namely Mingxin building, dizang hall and Yuantong hall, was successfully completed. Since then, the foundation of Daxiong hall has been officially laid, and now the embryonic form has begun to appear.

Abbot

Now the abbot of Zhijin Temple presides over the comprehensive work for master Shi Yongjun.

Master Shi Yongjun, male, presided over by Zhijin Temple of Shangyu City, member of Shangyu CPPCC. He has been a monk in Shaolin temple since he was a child. He is a master of Xingzheng. Now he is a master of Zhijin temple. He is familiar with Buddhist scriptures, studies Buddhist principles, practices asceticism, constantly purifies his mind, preaches scriptures, enlightens all living beings, and cleans his mind. He said that we constantly pursue the happiness of material desire, but neglect that the real happiness is contentment. There is a poem, once let me fall into thinking. The poet said, "we are always walking, but we forget to stay. The hill on the high hill is a grave reserved for me? " In order to pursue what we want, we can't stop and stop, step by step approach death. Why can't you control your own feet? Because the heart has enough wind, can only keep walking, keep tossing. People are tired because they are not satisfied. I wanted to seize happiness, but I didn't expect it to run faster and farther. We constantly pursue the happiness of material desire, but neglect that the real happiness is contentment.

Many Buddhist friends and believers from as far as the United States, Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai all came to this temple to ask him to preach, enlighten people's hearts and guide people. He has organized the construction of the main hall, with an investment of several million yuan. It is about to be completed. He is also preparing to build the second and third phases of the project. Although the place is remote, its mages teach mental Dharma and do routine Buddhist activities in an all-round way, with noble style and profound Buddhist theory. They are worshipped by local believers. Buddhist friends and residents from Tianjin, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and other places have come here to accept the Enlightenment of the mages.
